At the mini-slope in Hoshino Resorts RISONARE Yatsugatake, guests can take "Snowdz Lv. 1" lessons (30-45 minutes) to familiarize themselves with the snow before heading out to the ski slopes. The slopes are attached to a highland resort hotel on the shore of Lake Shirakaba in Nagano Prefecture. At an elevation of approximately 1,450 meters, with 80% clear skies, you can enjoy resort-like skiing with comfortable snow quality. There are a total of three courses, mainly for fun in the snow and for beginners and novice skiers. Ski lessons are available for children as young as 4 years old, and thanks to instruction using special training equipment for beginners, many children quickly make progress. A "pick-up lesson" is also available for those with infants and toddlers whose parents cannot make it to the slopes. Pick-up service is available in front of the rental ski counter in the hotel, and private lessons of any level are available.

The only ski resort in Japan directly connected to an expressway, Direction is the best in Japan. The slopes spread out at the foot of Mt. Hirao, 1,155 meters above sea level, boast a 90% sunny weather rate, so you can expect a pleasant skiing debut. The entire Property is based on the concept of being "family-friendly," with parking with few steps, easy access to the slopes, and about 80% of the courses for beginners and intermediate skiers.
The ski area is divided into "North Parada" and "South Parada," each of which has a space for kids at the foot of the slope. Children can play to their heart's content in the "Snow Square" and on the sledding slopes.
