The owner, a native of Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, purchases and sells Scandinavian and vintage items she liked when she traveled in Europe in the past. The concept is "simple life in the forest. The store also displays used books and CDs so that visitors can relax in the store and take home with them the unique atmosphere of space around.

Organic wine and coffee beans carefully selected by the owner

In addition to furniture and sundries, be sure to check out the original coffee, bread, and wine. Coffee beans roasted in-house are sold under the name "funnel coffee roasters," and drip coffee can also be ordered. Freshly baked bread and sweets are also beautifully displayed in the store and can be eaten inside or at the terrace cafe. In addition, there is a wine cellar where European organic wines carefully selected by the owner are sold. Take your time and enjoy searching for your favorite items.

This store is located in the elegant shopping mall "Church Street Karuizawa. The shop offers a collection of pottery, bags, accessories, and other items made by about 40 artists from all over Japan under the theme of "Karuizawa-ness," including items using flowers and plants, animal motifs, and more. Featured are painted ceramics by potter Takunobu Sawada. The delicately painted, even and beautiful powdered plates are also made by Sawada.

This lifestyle store was opened by the owner, who has lived in Sweden for 10 years and is also active as a designer. The cozy store is filled with clothes, furniture, and household goods from Japan and abroad, selected from his experience living in Scandinavia and Karuizawa.

The owner himself designs original items such as bags, furniture, and accessories, all of which are carefully produced with local artists in Nagano and other prefectures and can only be purchased here. The original designs are not mass-produced at a factory, but are born from conversations with local craftsmen. Through local production with local artists, we share materials, techniques, traditions, morals, and knowledge to ensure high-quality sustainable production.

Original arts and crafts made from different materials

A gallery store of arts and crafts located in a corner of Harunire Terrace. The shop is crowded with unique collaborative items combining different materials, such as tableware made of pottery and lacquer, lighting made of wood and iron, and pouches made of brand-name fabrics and baskets. Of particular note is the "glass body lacquerware" that combines Kiso lacquerware, a traditional craft of Shinshu, and glass. The deep, lustrous hues of the lacquerware and the delicate glass are beautifully fused together.

The collaborative items are made by artists carefully selected for material projects throughout Japan who have the backbone of traditional techniques but are also willing to take on new challenges. The works on display are one-of-a-kind.
