4 cute and photogenic house cafes in Hamamatsu

A house nestled in the midst of rich nature. There are many cafes in Hamamatsu where you can spend time in a space that looks like it has been recreated from the world in a picture book, and where time flows gently. Outside the window of the stylish store, a peaceful landscape spreads out, and on the table are delicious sweets made with local ingredients. We have selected such cafes in Hamamatsu that are photogenic no matter where you look.

Located in a residential area about a 5-minute drive from the Hamamatsu IC, Ocha-no-Oto is a Japanese tea specialty café in a converted wooden old house, which opened in 2013 in Tenryu-ku, Hamamatsu, before moving to its current location in 2015. The interior of the store offers a relaxing and cozy atmosphere that can only be found in an old private house. The teas available here include 30 varieties selected from all over Japan, including local Shizuoka teas such as "Tenryu Koshun" and "Makinohara Shinme no Hashiri," as well as sencha, gyokuro, bancha, black tea, and oolong tea. All teas are carefully brewed in a kyusu (Japanese teapot) and have a rich aroma and depth.

For sweets, we offer "seasonal sweets" and "hojicha cream cake," both of which are delicately flavored and designed to go well with tea. Matcha green tea blancmange and cakes are also popular.
In addition to sweets, there is a wide variety of menu items made with tea, including a must-try: chasoba (green tea noodle) served with matcha-flavored dipping sauce. The combination of the freshness of the chasoba and the subtle astringency of the matcha tea in your mouth makes for a refreshing and addictive experience.
All tea leaves used in the cafe menu can be purchased in the store, so if you come across a tea leaf you like, be sure to buy it as a souvenir for yourself.
