Oirase Keiryu Hotel by Hoshino Resorts, located along the Oirase Keiryu River, offers "Dog Rooms" where you can spend time with your pet. These rooms have a terrace and are equipped with cages and amenities for dogs. The buffet is a 60-minute tour and costs 2,580 yen for high school students and older, 1,680 yen for junior high school students, 980 yen for elementary school students, 550 yen for children 3 years old and older, and free for children under 3 years old.
For lunch on the first day, I went to a stone oven pizza restaurant near the hotel. There is a terrace in front of the entrance, where you can spend time with your dog. The crispy dough and juicy ingredients of the authentic pizza baked in a high-temperature stone kiln are exquisite, and the subtle aroma of the wood burning oven whets your appetite. The diverse lineup of pizzas includes the "Ortolana" filled with seasonal vegetables and the "Nagamotoko Garlic Pizza" topped with Aomori's specialties. The vegetables, which are purchased directly from farmers in the prefecture, are all fresh and you can enjoy the flavor of the ingredients.
The buffet is open from late April to mid-November, and during the rest of the year, it is open by order only. The buffet includes pizza, vegetables, curry, gratin, drinks, and more. If you bring pets, please make a reservation before visiting.

Before dinner, relax and unwind from your trip in the outdoor hot spring with a view of the mountain stream. While admiring the vivid fresh greenery and colorful autumn leaves, you can enjoy the gentle hot springs that spring from Mount Hakkoda. In winter, the "Ice Falls," icy waterfalls, appear in the Outdoor hot springs.

Experience Aomori's rich bounty at the apple buffet.
The space is decorated with apple-shaped lights made from "BUNACO," an Aomori craft, and "Tsugaru Biidoro" apple objet d'art.
Aomori Prefecture is Japan's largest producer of apples. The buffet restaurant offers a variety of creative apple dishes. Freshly prepared dishes such as roast beef will be served in the live kitchen. The "hot apple pie" with soft-serve ice cream will melt your heart and soul.

Take a walk with your dog along the Oirase mountain stream
The promenade from Ishigado to Kumoinotaki Falls is well maintained and the "Keiryu Shuttle Bus" stops along the way, making it a recommended route.
After breakfast, take your dog for a walk along the Oirase mountain stream. The "Keiryu Shuttle Bus" that connects the hotel and the midstream area of the mountain stream can be used without reservations, and is also available for pets (not available in winter). Get off at Ishigado and take a stroll to Kumoinotaki Waterfall to experience nature with your dog.

Tuck into "Towadako Himame" while gazing at the lake
The "Hime-masu salt-grilled set meal". It comes with mini Inaniwa Zaru Udon noodles, sweetened Towadako Wakasagi (lake smelt), a small bowl of cooked food, rice, etc.
After a long walk and with empty stomachs, we headed for Lake Towada, the source of the Oirase mountain stream. At this lakeside restaurant, you can enjoy local cuisine from both Aomori and Akita prefectures, including Towadako's specialty, hime-masu trout, as well as inaniwa udon noodles and kiritanpo. Pets are allowed on the terrace and near the entrance; reservations are not required, but are recommended during peak season.
Hime-masu, as the name "hime" implies, is a beautifully shaped and colored fish, and is known as the local brand "Towadako hime-masu" (Lake Towada hime-masu). We recommend the "Hime-masu Salt Grilled Set Meal. The freshly grilled himeshu trout has a savory aroma and the more you chew it, the more delicious it tastes. It takes about 15 minutes to grill, but it is well worth the wait.

Experience canoeing with your dog on the mysterious lake
The canoe tour with your dog takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Dogs wear special life jackets, so there is no need to worry.
Lake Towada, which straddles Aomori and Akita Prefectures, is a caldera lake formed by volcanic eruptions. Surrounded by natural forests of beech and other trees, the clear blue surface of the lake reflects the fresh greenery and autumn leaves, making it one of the most scenic spots in Japan. This guide house, which offers nature tours, offers "canoeing tours with dogs" from spring to autumn. This tour is popular among dog owners because they can enjoy canoeing with their dogs.
After receiving a lecture on how to ride a canoe and practicing on the canoe, you and your dog can finally set off together. It takes about 20 minutes one way to the Deai Bridge. The wooden path is perfect for a stroll.
After returning to the hotel and taking a rest, take a walk with your dog. The Deai Bridge, located near the confluence of the Oirase Stream and Tsuta River, is recommended near the hotel. This 55-meter-long wooden suspension bridge is a photogenic spot that looks especially beautiful during the season of fresh greenery and autumn foliage.

The "Towada Barayaki Lunch" served during the day is 1,200 yen.
Towada's local delicacy, "Towada-bara-yaki," is a dish of beef ribs and onions seasoned with a sweet and spicy soy sauce-based sauce and grilled on an iron plate. Currently, more than 80 restaurants in Towada offer barayaki, and each restaurant has its own unique flavor. This store is an antenna store of the Towada Barayaki Seminar, a community revitalization group, and offers a choice of beef or pork belly.
In addition to individual barayaki dishes, the restaurant also offers a "Towada Barayaki Lunch" that includes rice, soup, and pickles. The sweet and spicy soy sauce sauce, made with garlic from Towada and apples from Aomori Prefecture, goes well with the meat and onions, and the rice goes well with it. Towada City is working on urban development through art. The art museum is a central spot in this effort. Permanent works are created especially for the museum, and many works by domestic and international artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara, and Ron Mueck are on display. Art is not only inside the museum, but also in the courtyard and on the rooftop, and the building itself, the exhibition space, is also a work of art.
The art plaza around the museum is dotted with creative art, including a work by Yayoi Kusama, whose polka-dot world of pumpkins and girls is spread out. Make memories with your dog on the expansive lawn
The Tanezashi Natural Grass Field. Nearby is the Tanezashi Coast Information Center, a convenient place to gather information.
At the end of your trip, visit a scenic spot in Hachinohe City. Located in Sanriku Fukko National Park, "Tanezaki Kaigan" is a nationally designated scenic spot with over 650 species of native plants. From spring through fall, a wide variety of flowers are in full bloom.
A promenade has been developed along the long coastline and is popular as a trail course. There are many places to see, such as Kaburajima Island with its dancing cormorants, rugged reefs, and white sand beaches, but the "Tanezashi Natural Grass Land" is the most representative spot on the Tanezashi Coast. The "Tanezashi Natural Grassland" is one of the most representative spots on the Tanezashi Coast. The natural grass stretches to the edge of the waves, creating a vivid contrast with the ocean.
