Charcoal-grilled seafood is savory and full of flavor. Rice, rice cracker soup, apple juice and other drinks are also available.
After getting off at Hachinohe Station, you will first visit a huge market where you can enjoy the delicacies of Hachinohe, one of the best port towns in the Tohoku region. The market features about 60 stores selling seafood landed at Hachinohe Port, as well as freshly picked vegetables, fruits, dried foods, confections, and more.
The best place for lunch is "Shichirinmura," where you can taste foods bought on the spot and grilled over charcoal. Visitors can enjoy seasonal seafood and beef grilled to their liking. In winter, hokki-gai, scallops, and oysters are recommended. After paying the fee to reserve a seat, you can take a tour of the place in search of ingredients. The fresh seafood at the fish store will make your eyes water, but if you are not sure, ask the store staff for their recommendations. If you tell the shop staff that you want to grill the fish in the shichirin village, they will cut the fish for you so that you can grill it more easily.

Be impressed by the ice art created by the winter in Oirase.
Usually held from mid-December to early March. The lights are turned on in accordance with the timing of the tours, so only participants can see the spectacle.
Icefalls and icicles, which are formed when waterfalls and spring water freeze due to the severe cold, are a winter tradition in the Oirase mountain stream. The seasonal "Ice Fall Light-up Tour" offers a spectacular view of the icefalls, where you can see the art of ice floating blue in the darkness.
22:00 Ice Fall Hot Spring
Outdoor hot spring with a fantastic ice fall soaring above the mountain stream
The "Ice Fall Hot Springs" usually appear in mid-December. It can be enjoyed until mid-March.
The Oirase mountain stream is not the only place where you can see ice falls. During the winter, the outdoor hot spring with a view of the mountain stream is transformed into the "Ice Fall Hot Spring. While warming up in the steamy hot spring, visitors can view the icefall, which covers the walls of the outdoor hot spring and is approximately 3.5 meters high and 16 meters wide.

A spectacular aerial walk overlooking the ice trees on Mt.
The base of the ice is made of Abies sachalinensis (Abies sachalinensis), which is common in the Hakkouda Mountains. The best time to see them is usually from January to late February, and some are over 3 meters high.
On the second day, take the shuttle bus from the hotel to Hakkoda and Sagayu for sightseeing. Hakkoda is the generic name for a group of 18 volcanoes, and has been selected as one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan. We arrived at the foot station of the Hakkoda Ropeway. The ropeway takes about 10 minutes one way to the summit park station, where the elevation difference is about 650 meters.
While waiting for the ropeway to arrive, you will be surrounded by alpine flora, marshlands, and beautiful seasonal scenery such as autumn leaves. In winter, huge ice trees appear all over the park, creating a spectacular view. Juhyō is made of ice and snow that freezes when it hits the trees, and its large size makes it look like a "snow monster. Skiing or snowboarding through the ice is a unique way to enjoy the area.

Fried scallop curry: 1,100 yen. The crispy batter and plump scallops give the fried scallops an exquisite taste.
After enjoying the ice, it is time for lunch at the rest house adjacent to the Hakkoda Ropeway Sanroku Station. The most popular dish at this restaurant is "scallop fry curry," a lavish use of fresh scallops from Mutsu Bay. The homemade curry is spiced sparingly so that even children can easily eat it. The rich flavor infused with the goodness of meat and vegetables is a dish loved by all ages.
In the cold winter months, "Hakkouda Sansai Soba" is also recommended. The buckwheat noodles topped with plenty of local wild vegetables will warm you up after a long day in the mountains. Sangayu Hot Spring
Enjoy a one-day trip to a famous hot spring with a long history
Public hot spring "Hiba Senninburo" for mixed bathing. Women's yuami-gi (1,300 yen) are available for purchase, so feel free to enjoy bathing.
Sourgayu Hot Spring, located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level, has been a popular therapeutic hot spring since the Edo period (1603-1868). All of the five hot springs are acidic and sulfur-containing. The hot water is said to be effective against all illnesses, including muscular pain and sensitivity to cold, and is also known for its resistance to cooling off.
One of the most famous features of Sangayu is the "Hiba Senninburo" Public hot spring, a 160-tatami-mat large mixed bath built entirely of hiba (cypress). There are four different bathtubs with different sources of hot water, including a hot water of heat (netsu no yu) and a hot water of four minutes and six minutes, all of which can be enjoyed with free-flowing hot-spring water. In addition, the "Tama-no-yu" baths for men and women are also free-flowing hot-spring water, allowing visitors to enjoy a luxurious bathing experience.

Outdoor hot springs filled with hot spring water are a relaxing way to unwind after a long day. Ron Mueck "Standing Woman
This art museum is the central spot of Arts Towada, Towada City's urban development project through art. The permanent collection was created especially for the museum and features many works by Japanese and international artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara, and Ron Mueck. Exhibition rooms designed to match each work are connected by corridors, inviting visitors into a world of creativity as they step into each room.
Art is not limited to the inside of the museum. The courtyard and rooftop are also artworks, as are the buildings in the exhibition spaces. The art square around the museum is dotted with works by Yayoi Kusama and other unique artworks. You can also find street furniture on the Kanchogaidori and shopping streets that pass in front of the museum.

A visit to Towada is not complete without trying the local delicacy "Towada-bara-yaki. Towada-barayaki is a dish of beef ribs and onions seasoned with a sweet and spicy soy sauce-based sauce and grilled on an iron plate. More than 80 restaurants in Towada City currently serve barayaki, and each restaurant's own version is also a hot topic of conversation. This store is an antenna store of the Towada Barayaki Seminar, a community revitalization group, and offers a choice of beef or pork belly.
