Enjoy the night view of Asakusa with its chic Asakusa culture and old and new architecture. OMO3 Asakusa by Hoshino Resorts" 2 days 1 night|Recommended Model Course
Asakusa, one of Japan's major tourist destinations, developed greatly during the Edo period (1603-1867) as the gate town of Senso-ji Temple. The approach to the temple was lined with many nakamise, and during the Meiji period (1868-1912), the area flourished as a center of entertainment, with many theaters and playhouses. The bustling atmosphere of the area has remained unchanged to this day, and the streetscape is a one-of-a-kind blend of Edo culture and downtown atmosphere. On the other hand, the area is also full of modern charm with Sensoji Temple, the Tokyo Sky Tree®, and romantic night views along the Sumida River.
OMO3 Asakusa by Hoshino Resorts" is a new type of hotel located in "Machinaka," about a 1-minute walk from Sensoji Temple and a 4-minute walk from Asakusa Station. We propose a 2-day/1-night trip to Asakusa to enjoy the town's unique "chic" and a good walking tour of Asakusa.

Day 1
12:00 Asakusa Station
4 min. walk from Shin-Osaka Station
12:05 Nitenmon Yabu
Lunch time at Asakusa's favorite buckwheat noodle restaurant
Ten-toji Soba" for 1,800 yen. The "Kamo nanban" (duck noodle), available for a limited time from October to early May, is also popular at 1,650 yen. Katsu-don" is 1,300 yen.
While eating lunch, check your travel plans.
Nitenmon Yabu is a buckwheat noodle restaurant that has been in Asakusa for three generations. The restaurant serves nihachi-soba made from carefully selected buckwheat flour, preserving the flavor inherited from its grandfather.
We recommend the "Tentoji Soba," which consists of two large shrimp tempura topped with an egg. In addition to the crisp, smooth buckwheat noodles, you can enjoy the luxuriousness of the shrimp and the silky, delicate texture of the egg. The harmony of the soba-tsuyu (buckwheat sauce) with saba-bushi (dried mackerel bones) is also superb, and the gentle taste is known to be comforting and soothing.
The "katsudon" made with soba-tsuyu is also a long-time favorite of the locals, who call Nitenmon Yabu "the place to go for katsudon.

13:30 Asakusa Temple
First, pay a visit to Kannon-sama at Senso-ji Temple, the symbol of the city.
One of the most popular things to do after visiting the temple is to draw a fortune. Praying for good health by bathing your body in the smoke from the incense burner in front of the main hall is also a tradition at Senso-ji Temple.
When visiting Asakusa, be sure to greet the Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) at Senso-ji Temple and pray for a safe trip.
Senso-ji Temple is said to be the oldest temple in Tokyo, founded in 628 (36th year of Emperor Suiko's reign) during the Asuka Period, and is nicknamed "Asakusa no Kannon-sama" (Kannon of Senso) because its principal deity is enshrined as "Saint Kannon Bosatsu.
It is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in Japan, attracting more than 30 million visitors a year from Japan and abroad. There are many attractions within the precincts of the temple, including the ceiling paintings of the main hall, "Tenjin-no-zu" and "Ryu-no-zu," the five-story pagoda, and the Nitenmon Gate, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. The "Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate)," with its 3.9-meter-high, 700-kilogram lantern, is one of the most famous features of Asakusa. On March 18 and October 18 every year, the "Kinryu no Mai (Golden Dragon Dance)," named after the mountain name "Kinryuzan (Mt. Kinryu)," is also performed.

Yose Twin Room
As Asakusa is known for its Japanese culture, shoji screens and andon-style lighting have been incorporated to give the hotel a Japanese taste. Guest rooms with a view of the Sky Tree are also available.
The motif of the festival is "Yose," the symbol of Asakusa's laughter. The playful touches scattered throughout the room, such as chairs modeled after the stacked cushions of a yose, and a bed board designed with the character for "Oiri" (meaning "large entrance"), will make your trip more exciting. Although these rooms are Western-style, they are comfortable because you can take off your shoes and relax.

Ukiyo-e Walking", which is distributed at the front desk. If you answer all the questions correctly, you will receive a souvenir.

18:00 Komagata Dozeyu Head Office
Dine on the tastes loved by the common people of yesteryear while reminiscing about life in the Edo period
Doze-nabe set meal with miso dengaku, doze soup, oshinko (pickles), and rice: 4,780 yen
This restaurant has been in business since 1801, specializing in loach dishes.
The highly recommended "Doze-nabe" is a gem of a dish, for which every detail, from the selection of ingredients to the preparation, has been carefully examined. The owner himself carefully selects high-quality ingredients from all over Japan. The whole loach is stewed in a sweet miso soup, then steamed and simmered again in a broth that contains the broth from the loach. The dish is served in a shallow iron pot, so it has been the custom since the Edo period to add your own undercooked soy sauce and enough green onions to cover the loach. The meat is plump and bone-crunching, but not too thin. The meat is so soft and fluffy that you cannot feel the bones. The meat is so soft and fluffy that you can hardly feel the bones, and it goes perfectly with the green onions, making it a perfect accompaniment to rice or sake.

Asakusa Engei Hall
End your trip with plenty of laughs and memories at the comedy hall of fame
The performers are very close to the audience, and sometimes the audience gets into a lively exchange with the performers. Performances are renewed every 10 days.
Located in the Asakusa Roku-gu area, the heart of Asakusa's entertainment district, this traditional rakugo theater has produced many popular rakugo storytellers and star performers since its opening in 1964. The program is rich in variety, including manzai, comedy, magic, acrobatics, mimicry, paper cutting, and more. Of these, rakugo, the main form of Japanese comic storytelling, is so well described that you cannot help but be drawn in. In addition to the interesting storytelling, the delicate gestures expressed with fans and tenugui handkerchiefs are also worth seeing, and are truly the "art" of storytelling. Even if you have no knowledge of rakugo, you can laugh without any conditions.
Basically, the performances are held in alternating days and nights, and each can be viewed for up to approximately 5 hours. You can enter and leave during the show (re-entry is not allowed), but the stage is so entertaining that you will be sorry to go home.
