Kumamoto castle located in the center of Kumamoto-shi. The site in the Taikatsu temple built as a family temple of Kumamoto seigneur and Hosokawa person. Water is a graceful excursion for viewing scarlet maple leaves at a beautiful daimyo garden.

It's designated as national place of scenic beauty and historic site by the tour garden in Kumamoto-shi. The first seigneur of Mr. Kumamoto Hosokawa of a feudal clan and Tadatoshi Hosokawa begin to build, and 3 generations will be completed the time of the eye seigneur and Tsunatoshi Hosokawa. Made pumice, pine tree and lawn imagine the landscape of Tsukiyama who copied Mt. Esplanade which leads to from a front gate in Kumamoto agency to a building. 54 gingko trees are planted in both sides in about 180 m of promenade for 540,000 stones of Higo Hosokawa feudal clan.
