The store opened in February 2019 in the "Yachimun no Sato" and currently carries yachimun from about 30 artists. The owner says that what he values when purchasing is "intuition," and he trusts his instinctive sense of attraction rather than popularity or titles.
The store, which is about 30 square meters in size, is lined with unique vessels, mugs, free cups, chopstick rests, and other items. The works of "Hotaru Kiln (Jinyinyo)" in Ogimi Village, northern Okinawa, are sold only here in Yachimun-no Sato, and many customers visit the store for these items.

Other works include those of the promising newcomer "SUI" and "Sueyoshi Pottery Studio" in Shuri. These are works by rare artists that are hard to find in other stores. The owner of the store opened the store because of his love for Yachimun, and in fact, he also produces accessories, mugs, chopstick rests, and other items himself. He says, "I would like to sell them someday.
Many people buy mugs and other pottery for their own use, and chopstick rests, spoons, and other small items as souvenirs. If you are strolling around Yachimun-no-sato, be sure to stop by.

Original "Yachimun Candles" handmade by the owner

It is fun to choose a gift while thinking about the recipient. Solaire, which sells yachimun and Okinawan goods, has a variety of items that you may want to give as gifts for birthdays, weddings, and birthdays.
The best item is the "Yachimun Candle" made of Yachimun created by a potter in the village. This original product, conceived and produced by the owner, makes a perfect gift or souvenir from Okinawa. The aroma candles are not only cute, but also have a healing effect.

The store is lined with the owner's favorite items.

The owner, a native of Yomitan Village, opened the store in 2020 after retiring from an apparel company where she had worked for 12 years both in and outside of Okinawa, and had vaguely thought since her 20s that she wanted to start her own business in the future. She opened a store that offers yachimun candles, which she began making as a hobby, and a selection of products suitable as gifts.
She tries to stock products that she intuitively likes, products that she has actually tried and enjoyed using, and her own favorite products. Why not send a made-in-Okinawa item to that person you have taken care of from your trip, or to a friend whose birthday is coming up soon...?

Even on a day when you stop by to look for a gift for a friend, you may end up buying a treat for yourself as well.

This select store is located on the third floor of the popular cafe "mofgmona" near Okinawa International University. The impetus for the store came from the popularity of the works of the artists of the tableware used in the café, which were exhibited and sold in the store since the café first opened. A house two doors down happened to be vacant, and the landlord approached the shop, and it opened in 2005. The shop has now moved into the same building as the café and is open for business.
