- What do you recommend (places, experiences, food) in the area?
Located on Yufumi-dori in front of Yufuin Station, "Yufuin Kinrindo" offers a wide selection of carefully selected items from local Oita sake to natural wines from the other side of the world under the theme of "a sake shop like a museum. The shop offers a wide variety of carefully selected items, from local Oita staples to natural wines from the other side of the world!
- Please sneak in some hole-in-the-wall places that you know because you live there.
We recommend the Rural Street (also known as Amenity Road), located about a 10-minute walk from Yufuin Station. The countryside stretches as far as the eye can see, and beyond the road you can see the brave Mt. Yufudake, the symbol of Yufuin. If you want to be healed by the peaceful scenery of Yufuin, I highly recommend a visit!
- Tell us about your most memorable trip, with whom and where you went!
This is a trip to Dogo hot spring with a friend. My hometown is Tokushima Prefecture, which is also in Shikoku, but because it is so close, I did not have much experience traveling in Shikoku, so I was able to discover many new things. It was a trip where I was moved by many things such as contact with local people, the beauty of the sea, and the richness of nature, and it was a valuable experience for me! I strongly hope to go back to Tokushima Prefecture, my hometown, to rediscover its charms in the near future.
- What do you do on your days off?
I love to travel, and every month I travel outside of the prefecture! Last month I went to Aomori Prefecture, this month to Ehime Prefecture, and next month I will go to Kagoshima and Kumamoto Prefectures to enjoy the charms of the region.
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
Wireless earphones are indispensable. I like to immerse myself in my favorite music while watching the local scenery and feeling extraordinary!
