Local Guide FAQ
- What do you recommend (places, experiences, food) in the area?
NEEK COFFEE SUPPLY
The owner of NEEK COFFEE SUPPLY is a DIY coffee shop. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee on a holiday. Note that the store's Instagram introduces the story of how the store was opened in the form of a comic strip, and as you read it, you will be drawn into the store's charm. Of course, the coffee is also very good, making it a must-visit place for coffee lovers and café lovers when in Kochi.
- Please sneak in some hole-in-the-wall places that you know because you live there.
The 7-Eleven near Kochi Castle is interesting. The entrance is like a dungeon, a unique design that no one has ever seen before. If you upload it to Instagram, you are sure to get a reaction. (If you're curious, look up "Kochi 7-Eleven Dungeon" or something similar and see what you find!)
- Tell us about your most memorable trip, with whom and where you went!
I have a very fond memory of visiting a waterfall in Venezuela called Angel Falls. The waterfall is so high that there is no waterfall basin and the water evaporates while it is flowing. The power of the falls was overwhelming and moving. It was a place that made me realize that I could never beat the power of nature, and at the same time, it was a place that made me recognize that I love nature. If I have the chance, I would like to visit other places in South America.
- What do you do on your days off?
I like visiting cafes, so I often go on café tours with people from my company. I secretly want to create "OMO7 Kochi by Hoshino Resorts Cafe Club".
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
I take my SLR camera with me. I also recently purchased a drone, so I bring it with me when I go to see the spectacular scenery. It is very enjoyable to view the spectacular scenery from the sky. Editing it later to make travel videos is also one of the pleasures of traveling.
