4Boulanger Asanoya Old Road Main Store
Located on Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza-dori, this popular restaurant serves breakfast until 11:00 a.m. with bread baked one after another in a stone oven.
A popular morning menu item is the Shinshu rye galette. In French, galette means "a dish baked in a circle," and although buckwheat flour is often used, Asanoya uses rye flour, which gives the dish a rye flavor when eaten. It is recommended to eat it with a half-boiled egg yolk broken into pieces. Onion soup, bread, and a drink are also included in the set.
Croque-monsieur, a croissant baked with two kinds of cheese and white sauce, is also popular. The famous beef stew is also served in the morning.
Eat in with freshly purchased bread
If you order a drink or something else, you can bring in your purchases from the bread corner and eat them as they are. Large breads such as baguettes and campagnes are sliced and lightly toasted in the stone oven. Leftovers are placed in a bag and taken home. In addition to the Restaurant space, there is also a casual place to sit and relax.

The name of the restaurant is named after Sheridan Road, a road that runs along the shores of Lake Michigan in Chicago. The owner of the restaurant liked Chicago breakfasts on a trip to the city and opened a Chicago-style breakfast and brunch café because the climate and climate of Karuizawa are similar to those of Chicago.
Salmon omelette is one of the Chicago-style dishes. The fluffy omelette is made with whisked eggs and cream cheese, and the smoked salmon is beautifully arranged on top. All together, it is a dish that offers a delicious and rich flavor.

7Oshidate Chabo
This long-established coffee shop has been operating in the same location since its opening. Even before the breakfast boom, the breakfast set named "Ohayou Service" was well received. The menu is quite simple: ham and eggs, toast, salad, and coffee. The owner has been making the toast himself since the store opened, and the toast is exquisite in both thickness and degree of doneness. It is served with two fried eggs and a quick-cooked ham. The salads made with local lettuce and homemade soy sauce dressing are well-received.
Retro cabin-style interior
Although the restaurant has been remodeled once since it opened, the log house-style interior has a nostalgic atmosphere, decorated with the owner's favorites and souvenirs from regular customers. Outside the windows are lush greenery, and the log terrace is a great place to enjoy breakfast while soaking in the morning air.
The warm personalities of the owner and his wife make it easy to see why there are so many regular customers.
