1Kinomiya Shrine
Popular power spot in Atami
This shrine, which has long been dedicated to the local deity of Atami Township, is also known as one of the best power spots in Japan. The sacred tree "Ookusu", designated as a national natural monument, is over 2,000 years old and has a trunk circumference of about 24 m. In 1992, it was certified as the second largest tree in Japan, and it is said that if you circle around its trunk once, your life span will be extended by one year, and if you make a wish with your heart, your wish will be granted. The tree attracts many worshippers to pray for good health, longevity, and the fulfillment of their wishes.
The Kodama Forest Project, a lighting project that uses approximately 160 lights to express the spirit of the trees and plants in the area around the camphor tree, is usually held from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., creating a fantastic scene in the temple grounds at night.

2Yuzen Shrine
A historic shrine that continues to protect Atami's hot springs
Oyu, which is said to be the source of Atami's hot springs, springs in front of the shrine. The shrine is said to have been built in Tempyo 749 (Tempyo 21), when a god told the shrine that there was a hot spring that was effective in removing illnesses. Since then, the shrine has been revered not only by the general public but also by court nobles and shoguns as the guardian of the hot springs in Atami. Tokugawa Ieyasu was so pleased with the efficacy of Atami hot springs that he had the source dedicated to Edo Castle during the reign of the fourth Ietsuna, and festivals called "Yukumi-michimichi" and "Yu-matsuri" are held at the shrine.
The shrine is inscribed with the names of the ryokans that have dedicated their hot spring ryokans, giving visitors a sense of the history of the hot spring ryokan area, which has been enhanced by numerous ryokans.

4Atami Sun Beach
The beach stretches out in front of the hot spring resort
Located about a 15-minute walk from Atami Station, this beach is representative of Atami. The waves are calm because of the breakwater offshore, and a stroll along the beach is pleasant outside of the summer bathing season. There are palm tree-lined avenues and walking paths, and the location commands a view of the yacht harbor and Hatsushima Island.
In the early morning, the morning sun rising from the horizon beautifully illuminates the town, and at night, the lights created by world-renowned lighting designer Mikiko Ishii create a fantastic scene every day.
