Sapporo's miso-flavored ramen, Hakodate's salt-flavored ramen, and Asahikawa's soy sauce-flavored ramen are known as the three most popular local ramen in Hokkaido. Asahikawa's ramen is simple, with the main ingredient being a combination of noodles and soup, and features low-moisture, medium-fine, shrink-wrapped noodles that mix well with the soup. As a pioneer of Asahikawa ramen, we have inherited the flavor from generations of customers.

 Soy Sauce Ramen
Soy Sauce Ramen" 800 yen, one of the origins of Asahikawa ramen passed down from the first generation

Founded in 1947, Aoba is a pioneer of Asahikawa ramen. Yoshiya Murayama, the first generation of the restaurant, started from a food stall and created soy sauce ramen aiming for a taste familiar to the common people. Aoba's ramen, which is made with a combination of seafood and land-based ingredients, has been passed down through the generations to the second and third generations. The soup is characterized by its resistance to cooling and noodles that do not stretch easily, and no matter how cold the day may be, we continue to provide a unique Hokkaido offering of delicious ramen that is hot to the last bite. In addition to shoyu ramen, the restaurant is also known for its delicious salt ramen, where the flavor of the ingredients is the key to success. The toppings are simple - chashu pork, pickled bamboo shoots, and green onions - but they enhance Aoba's ramen, which is all about the broth.
The motto of the third generation is "To sell a hundred bowls of ramen, focus on one bowl of ramen. We hope you will try our signature bowl of ramen, made with the utmost care and spirit.

A popular restaurant where you can enjoy Asahikawa's classic Shoyu Ramen

 Tengane's signature dish,
Tengane's signature dish, "Shoyu Ramen" 800 yen

We first opened our store in the Asahikawa Ramen Village in 1996. Since then, we have been preserving the taste of Asahikawa's traditional Shoyu Ramen. Tengane's goal is to create a "taste that will never change. The deep, rich soup based on pork bones is "delicious to the last drop," and has won the hearts of ramen connoisseurs. In order to serve hot ramen in Asahikawa, where winters are severely cold, lard is added to create an oil film on the surface to keep the soup hot. Low-added, medium-thick, curly noodles are used, which are easy to mix with the soup. We also recommend the side menu item, "Gohan (rice with wasabi). The unique and tangy flavor of wasabi goes perfectly with the rice.
The owner is particular about "making ramen that you can see with your eyes and simply want to eat. Enjoy to your heart's content the harmony of the low-pasteurized, medium-thick noodles and toppings that go perfectly with the soup.
