Deeply enjoy Akasaka, the "City of History and Culture. OMO3 Tokyo Akasaka by Hoshino Resorts" 2 days 1 night stay
Akasaka, the center of politics and business. During the Edo period (1603-1867), it was lined with samurai residences, and from the Meiji period (1868-1912) to the Showa period (1926-1989), it flourished as one of the most famous flower districts in Tokyo. Today, Akasaka is known as a chic town where adults can spend their time in a relaxed atmosphere, with its high-quality restaurants, including ryotei (traditional Japanese-style restaurants). It is also one of the most exclusive residential areas in Tokyo and is said to have the highest percentage of presidents in Japan. Perhaps because of this, the culture of handmade souvenirs that were once carried when visiting a ryotei (Japanese-style restaurant) have been replaced by those sought by secretaries to the president, and many specialty stores offering sophisticated Japanese and Western confectionery products are also characteristic of this area.

Since its establishment in 1950, this famous restaurant has been serving "Japanese Western cuisine" that suits the Japanese palate.
The signature dish, Akasaka's specialty "Bifteki Don" is a sumptuous dish of A5-ranked Japanese black beef loin on a bed of fluffy cooked Koshihikari rice. The meat is dipped in a sweet and spicy sauce that has been added over the past 60 years, and then grilled on a grill to remove excess fat, resulting in a moist and tender texture. Combined with the richness of the sauce based on tamari shoyu, it makes a blissful pairing with white rice. The butter topping is also a perfect supporting role, mellowing the flavor.
For lunch, the restaurant offers a single dish as well as a special set that includes either fried shrimp or crab cream croquettes.

Souvenirs of Akasaka's chic traditional sweets
Akasaka Mochi" (237 yen per piece) is made of kinako (soybean flour) and two rice cakes wrapped in a small furoshiki cloth. The crunchiness of the walnuts adds a nice accent to the texture.
Find souvenirs at a long-established Japanese confectionary shop established in 1899. The store has been pursuing the chic taste of Akasaka while preserving the traditional taste, and has created a number of famous sweets ahead of their time.
Akasaka Mochi," a soybean flour rice cake, is one of their signature products. The first generation devised a recipe for kneading brown sugar and chopped walnuts into the smooth texture of the rice cake, and the third generation developed a style of wrapping the rice cake in a small furoshiki (wrapping cloth) for each person. The mochi is not too sweet to bring out the flavor of the ingredients. The mochi is made with a moderate sweetness to bring out the best flavor of the ingredients, and the fragrant soybean flour and walnuts blend well together to create a refined taste.
Another specialty is the chestnut buns, which are baked buns with a whole chestnut wrapped in white bean paste. It is said to be the store's original confectionery, and has long been loved under the name "Hitotsubu.
