Yusenpei, a specialty of Unzen hot spring, is made by a long-established shop. Yusempei are crispy and light crackers made with flour, sugar, egg, and hot spring water, and baked thin.
Unzen Yusen Yusenpei" is always sold at Toeya Honpo, where four pieces of Yusenpei are baked on a single griddle, and "Pure One-Piece Hand-Baked Unzen Yusenpei" where the dough is poured into a 3 kg mold and each piece is carefully baked. The hand-baking demonstration is available only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and visitors can taste freshly baked pieces (100 yen per piece) in single-serving units. Only when freshly baked can you taste the chewy part of the rice cake that is usually cut off from the mold.
In addition, there are a variety of other products such as chocolate bars, granola, gaufrettes, and other arrangements of yusenpei. Finding souvenirs is also an exciting experience.

Since its birth in 1964 (Showa 39), "Kurusu" has long been loved as Nagasaki's famous confectionery. The crispy texture of the thin dough is sandwiched between two layers of white chocolate with a hint of Shimabara ginger flavor. When it was first introduced, sweets made with chocolate were very rare and high-calorie.
The bright yellow can is a reissue of a can commemorating the 50th anniversary of the product's release. It is a reproduction of the package design used in the early days of the product's release, with an eye-catching illustration of a lovely sister drawn by Shintaro Suzuki, one of the most famous painters of the Showa period.

The "Marugoto Oshi Senbei" is a thinly-stretched rice cracker made from various types of seafood and is very popular at the souvenir store in Obama Marina. Of the four varieties available (octopus, sea bream, baby octopus, and squid), the most popular is the octopus rice cracker. Dried octopus with seasoning is pressed on the store's griddle.
