Kwazui potato leaf motif dishes from 1,800 yen, cloth eyeglass cases with unique goats and bobcats from 3,800 yen.

The original goods are made in a workshop quietly located in the arcade of Euglena Mall in Ishigaki Island. On one wall, there are plates, small bowls, yunomi (rice bowls), rice bowls, and ichirinzashi (one-ring vase) suitable for daily use, and on the opposite wall, there are original T-shirts, tenugui hand towels, bags, and other cloth goods, as well as paper goods such as penmanship, postcards, and poti bags.

Among them, we recommend the small bowls and plates featuring the leaves of the kuzuimo potato, which grows wild in Okinawa. The image of rainwater pooling on the leaves is expressed by the ash beadlo glaze. The eyeglass case with a lively design of Yaeyama's living creatures is also something you will want to pick up. The design of eyeglasses carefully embroidered stitch by stitch is charming. It can also be used as a sunglass case.

Ginger syrup filled with the blessings of nature of Ishigaki Island

 Yuki-san's Brown Sugar Ginger Syrup
Yuki-san's Brown Sugar Ginger Syrup" (120 ml, 1,317 yen; 200 ml, 1,620 yen), made with island ingredients, will make your mind and body healthy.

Ginger syrup is made under the motto of "safe, secure, and careful" while paying attention to daily weather, temperature, and humidity. Based on the idea of "nuchigusui (medicine for life)" (i.e., medicine and food are one and the same), which has been passed down from our island ancestors, rich and deep brown sugar from Hateruma Island and ginger from Ishigaki Island, which is small in size but has both the right amount of spiciness and a concentrated flavor, are used.

The climate in Okinawa, which is also the path of typhoons, is harsh, and the food grown there is powerful enough to overcome the harshness of the climate. In addition to soda water or hot water, it can be mixed with milk or soy milk for a chai-like flavor. It can also be enjoyed as an accent to tea, coffee, beer, or highballs, or as a spicy hot wine when added to red wine.

Shelf life: 365 days if unopened.
