5 recommended lunch spots in Seragaki, Okinawa! Some restaurants with spectacular views!

Seragaki, Okinawa, where you can enjoy the typical Okinawan scenery of blue sea and sky, is one of the best resort areas in the prefecture. It is gaining popularity as a place to spend a blissful time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In this issue, we will introduce some recommended lunch spots in the Seragaki area. We have carefully selected five popular restaurants from classic Okinawan cuisine such as Okinawa soba to pancake specialty stores and Hawaiian cafes. Why don't you enjoy the resort atmosphere at these popular lunch spots?

A restaurant specializing in soba noodles with an appetizing aroma of seaweed

The restaurant offers unique Okinawan soba noodles made with seaweed called "arsa" in Okinawa. The homemade thin noodles, richly kneaded with A-grade Okinawan artha, which is known for its smooth texture, have a strong texture and intertwine well with the aromatic bonito-based soup. The toppings are also carefully selected: kamaboko (fish cake) kneaded with the same type of artha as the noodles, and hokoro-hollow meat seasoned with sweet and spicy sauce, a secret recipe that has been poured over the meat since the establishment of the restaurant. It is a healthy yet satisfying dish.

The storefront overlooking the ocean is another reason for its popularity.

The restaurants are located along Route 58, which runs north to south along the west coast of Okinawa. Across the road is the blue ocean of Onna Village. The view of the ocean from inside the restaurant is a great way to enjoy the Okinawan atmosphere. The perfect location and the delicious asa soba make many tourists repeat customers. Ordering is by meal ticket. When the restaurant is crowded, you must write down your name and wait for your order. It is recommended to visit with plenty of time to spare, especially during lunchtime, when it is especially crowded.

The name of the restaurant, "Dohana Dohana," reflects the idea that "pottery is a flower made to bloom by the soil" and that we want to be a place where customers come in droves. In fact, it is a popular restaurant with a constant stream of customers, and one of the reasons for this is the terrace seating overlooking the ocean in Onna Village. Among them, the counter seats overlooking the ocean below offer a special experience with a spectacular view of the green trees and the blue ocean.
The restaurant also has a gallery inside that displays and sells Akira Tamada's pottery. Experience pottery making at the studio on the first floor.
