- What do you recommend (places, experiences, food) in the area?
Otsuka in autumn is full of festivals: in September there is the Beer Festival and the annual Tenzo Shrine Festival, and in October there is the Otsuka Rose Festival, the Otsuka Merchants Festival, and the Music Festival. The Otsuka Merchants Festival, in particular, is sure to be a very exciting two-day event with vendors from the neighborhood!
- Please sneak in some hole-in-the-wall places that you know because you live there.
We recommend Tempura Tsutsumi, a 3-minute walk from Otsuka Station, run by a warm and friendly couple. It is listed on the Go-KINJO Map (Local guide map), and Guest/customers who have actually been there have said, "I've never had such crispy, non-greasy tempura! I want to go back! I want to go back! We are sure that Japanese and foreign customers, young and old, men and women, will enjoy our delicious tempura.

When I was in college, I went to Perth, Australia alone.
I went to an island called Rottnest Island, which is inhabited by quokkas (wallabies). The quokkas' smiling and laughing appearance was so cute that from that day on, my favorite animal was the quokka!
- What do you do on your days off?
I enjoy visiting bars and often enjoy a variety of drinks to suit my mood of the day.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to name a cocktail invented by a bartender, and it has become my favorite!
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
When I travel, I always bring my instant camera. I enjoy changing the type of camera I carry with me according to the scenery and seasonal colors of the places I go. The beauty of this camera is that it allows me to capture different views of the same scenery!
