The lagoons of Imae Lagoon and Kiba Lagoon have been one of the "Three Lakes of Kaga" since the Edo period (1603-1868). Katayamazu Hot Springs, which draws hot springs from the bottom of the lake, flourish along the lakeshore and form part of Kaga's hot spring resort area. The lake's surface is said to change color several times a day depending on the movement of the sun, and the view of Mt. At night, the fountain is illuminated, creating a fantastic atmosphere.

In the center of the hot spring resort on the lakeshore, there is a "hot spring bathhouse" with a triangular roof built in the style of a sleeping quarters, as well as a footbath. If you want to take your time and enjoy the hot spring, the modern public bathhouse facing the lake, "Katayamazu Onsen Soyu," is also recommended. After passing through the hot spring resort area, there is a bicycle path with a great view of the rice paddies and Mt. Other points of interest are scattered around the lakeshore, including the Nakaya Ukichiro Snow Science Museum and the Shinohara ancient battlefield and Kusharaike Pond, the site of the Genpei battle.

This rabbit theme park is said to invite luck. More than 50 rabbits roam freely in the central plaza, and their natural and cute behavior can be seen up close. The attraction of the park is that visitors can meet various kinds of rabbits, including the world's largest Flemish Giant, the black-and-white two-tone Dutch, and the friendly Jersey Woolly with leaning ears. You can also hold the rabbits in your lap during the twice-daily cuddle time.

The legend of the "Moon Hare of Kaga" tells that a kind-hearted official saved a white rabbit in the past, which stopped heavy rain and blessed the village with a bountiful harvest. The "Moon Rabbit Shrine" is located in the center of the plaza and sells rabbit fortunes. There are also a variety of stores in the Property, including "Kaga Usagi no Sato," which serves delicious udon noodles, "cafe Tsuki Usagi," a coffee shop, and "Usagi no Bakery. Experience menus such as "baking freshly baked pies" and "handmade manju (Japanese sweet buns)" are also available.

Komatsu, a famous construction equipment manufacturer, is well-known for its huge yellow bulldozers and dump trucks, which both children and adults have seen at least once. At Komatsu no Mori, located in Komatsu City where the company was founded, visitors can test drive one of the world's largest dump trucks, the 930E. Taller than the roof of a two-story house and weighing as much as 20 standard dump trucks, its massive scale is overwhelming, even to adults. Sitting in the driver's seat of the "930E," the only one of its kind in Japan, is an unforgettable Experience for children.

The large site is dotted with the "Kenkenkikki Factory," an exhibition hall where visitors can experience and learn how construction equipment works, the "Wakuwaku Komatsu Pavilion," where event classes are held, and the "Wakuwaku Komatsu Building No. 2," which has a nursing room and a kids' corner where infants can play. In "Genki-Satoyama," a park that recreates the nature of the Kaga region, a stream runs through the park, and small animals and plants can be seen. There are many spots to bring out children's inquisitive minds, such as seeing the "Beetle House," where beetles are raised, and observing mushroom cultivation and rice paddies. Visitors can also spread out and eat their lunch on the grassy plaza.

Adults and children alike are intrigued by the fantastic world of snow

Located beside the lakeside park of Shibayamagata Lagoon, this science museum with its eye-catching architectural design exhibits the achievements of Ukichiro Nakaya, a pioneer in snow and ice research who was born in Katayamazu hot spring in Kaga City, in the first floor exhibition room. The science museum also has an experimental corner that draws visitors into the beautiful and fantastic world of snow and ice. The experiment to artificially create sparkling diamond dust is something that both children and adults can enjoy together. Visitors can also experience the art of making snow crystals with origami paper and ice pendants.

The building has a modern shape with three hexagonal towers arranged to resemble snow. In the center of the building is a rock courtyard named "Greenland Glacier Field. These rocks were brought by Ukichiro Nakaya from Greenland, where he went to study ice in his later years. The courtyard was created by Nakaya Ukichiro's second daughter, an artist of artificial fog, and the artificial fog sprayed from the nozzle provides various expressions depending on the light and wind. On the lagoon side, there is a tea room with a view of Hakusan over Shibayama Lagoon. Original drinks such as "Winter Hana Cider" and "Winter Hana Parfait" are available.

Yamanaka Hot Spring is said to have been discovered 1,300 years ago by the high priest Gyoki. Matsuo Basho, a famous haiku poet, called Yamanaka Onsen one of the three best hot springs in Fuso.
The center of the hot spring resort is the "Kiku-no-yu" public bathhouse. The "Kikuno-yu Egg Making Experience" is available at the "boiling area" in front of the building where the spring water flows into the hot spring. First, buy eggs from the vending machine at the entrance of the men's bath. After receiving a special basket at the reception desk, you will put the eggs into the spring water at a temperature of about 63 degrees Celsius. The standard boil time is 40 minutes for the yolk to become thick, 60 minutes for the yolk to become moist, and 90 minutes for the yolk to become firm. The freshly cooked eggs are so delicious that you can't help but smile.

While waiting for the hot spring eggs to be ready, it is recommended to take a stroll around the area. In front of the women's bath of "Kiku-no-yu", there is a footbath overflowing with luxurious spring water, where you can refresh yourself and take the fatigue out of your feet. Along Yuge Kaido, a main street, you will find Yamanaka lacquerware and Kutani pottery stores, cafes, and other stores, which add to the atmosphere of a hot spring resort. If you take a short walk along the Kakusenkei promenade, you can enjoy the beauty of the valley, said to be the best in Hokuriku, and the time it takes to boil an egg will seem like a blink of an eye.

A popular spot where you can enjoy seasonal fruit picking all year round

A leisure spot where visitors can enjoy fruit picking, BBQ, and park golf, the park is located on an acre of land by the Sea of Japan, about a 20-minute drive west of JR Kaga Onsen Station. All of the fruits are grown with great care, starting from the soil preparation. Three types of grapes, including seedless "Delaware," "Black Olympia," and "Muscat Berry A," are grown, and many types of apples, including "Akiboshi," "Ohbayashi," and "Shinano Sweet," are grown.
