1Tea Room Akai Yane
This café stands on a hill facing the sea overlooking Kawana Port, with a red roof as the name suggests. Almost every seat in the restaurant, with its retro-modern interior, has an ocean view. The large windows offer a panoramic view of the Sagaminada Sea and Hatsushima Island. The sunset view is especially beautiful, with ships and islands floating in silhouette against a sky and sea tinted in madder colors, a fantastic sight that will leave you speechless.
Enjoy the view and handmade pizza!
The reputed homemade pizza is a royal delicacy, combining the texture of melted cheese and crispy thin crispy dough. There are 30 different toppings to choose from. The Kashmiri curry, which is as popular as the pizza, is made from a recipe from Delhi, a long-established curry restaurant in Ueno, Tokyo.
For tea time, we recommend the homemade cakes, including cheesecake and apple pie, of which there are many varieties. On sunny days, head to the terrace for a more spectacular view. The sea breeze is pleasant, and the open view of the ocean and delicious food will soothe your soul even more.

2Jōgasaki Kaigan
The Jōgasaki Coast is where you can experience the seascape you have seen from the train window in a more majestic and varied form.
The Jōgasaki Coast, known for its spectacular scenery of cliffs along the coastline and deeply intervening reefs that stretch from cape to cape, was created when seawater eroded the lava that flowed and hardened during the eruption of Mount Omuro about 4,000 years ago.
The "Picnic Course," a 3-km walk to Izu Marine Park, and the "Nature Study Path," a 6-km walk from Renkakuji Temple, which is associated with Nichiren Shonin, to Hachimanono, are located along the coastline, allowing visitors to view the spectacular view of the cliffs from various angles. The most famous spot is the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge in the middle of the "Picnic Course. It is 48 m long and 23 m above sea level, providing a thrilling experience.

3Le Fillage
A bakery cafe surrounded by greenery is located at the end of a path leading into the forest from the rows of cherry trees stretching from Izu Kogen Station. The aroma of freshly baked bread always wafts through the air, and more than 80 varieties of bread are lined up in the store. The lineup ranges from breads for meals, such as French bread with natural yeast, sour German bread, and salty croissants, to sweet breads and breads for side dishes. At the terrace café, where the sun shines beautifully through the trees, you can enjoy these reputable breads with soup and coffee, as well as a lunch menu using seasonal ingredients.
Excellent bread made with natural yeast and without additives
Among the breads lined up in styles from France, Italy, and other European countries, a must-try is the "Truonf" (400 yen), an arrangement of French bread. This crescent-shaped, rye-blended French bread wrapped in blue cheese is truly a mature taste, with the mildness of the honey on the surface complementing the bitterness of the blue cheese. The bread's rustic, preservative-free and chemically seasoned taste has gained a good reputation and now attracts numerous bread lovers from outside of the prefecture. Whether you eat it in the car or at home, why not stop by for a memorable trip?

4Omuroyama
Omuroyama is located about a 10-minute drive from Izu Kogen Station. From any vantage point in Izu-Kogen, you can see the beautiful mountain shape that resembles a bowling ball lying face down. It is the largest of the eastern Izu volcano group, a volcano with an independent peak called a scoria hill, which was formed when magma was blown up to the surface by volcanic activity. The entire mountain is designated as a national natural monument, and climbing on foot is prohibited. The summit is reached by a lift.
At the summit, visitors can take the "Obachi Tour," a 1-kilometer walk around the 1-kilometer summit promenade that has been built around the rim of the 70-meter-deep crater. This walking course offers an unobstructed 360-degree panoramic view of the Amagi Mountains, Fuji, and Hakone, as well as Oshima, the Izu Islands, and even the Boso Peninsula if you look out to sea. You can also enjoy beautiful scenery in each of the four seasons, such as cherry blossoms in spring, beautiful contrasts of green and blue sky in summer, silver grass in autumn, and mountain burning in winter.

5Ippekiko
It is a 10-minute drive from JR Ito Station. Lake Ippekiko, nicknamed "Izu no Hitomi" (Eyes of Izu) for the beauty of its clear surface reflecting the forest and sky, is a crater lake formed 100,000 years ago by a phreatic explosion of Mount Omuro, with a circumference of 4 km. It is characterized by its gourd-like shape.
The southeastern part of the lake is the "Oike" (large pond), where 12 islands made of lava that flowed into the lake from Mount Omuro 4,000 years ago float, and is decorated with autumn leaves in fall. The reflection of the forest in the brocade on the surface of the lake is indescribable, a spectacular sight that will tug at anyone's heartstrings. On the other hand, "Numa-ike" in the northwestern part of the lake is a marshland overgrown with reeds and other plants, and is known as a treasure house of rare plants in Shizuoka Prefecture.
The forested lakeside has a well-maintained promenade where visitors can take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the changing of the seasons. Visitors can also spend a peaceful time on the lake while enjoying boating and fishing for black bass and crucian carp.

6Kurone Iwa-buro
One of the best places to stop by on a drive along the coastline is the wild "Kurone Iwa-buro" (rock bath) in Kitagawa hot spring. It is a public outdoor hot spring located on the shore of Higashi-Izu at an elevation of 0 m above sea level. The location is perfect, with a view of the ocean in front of you and Izu Oshima Island beyond. Bathing while listening to the sound of the waves coming and going is a liberating experience. In accordance with prefectural ordinances, the bathhouse was reopened in July 2017 with separate baths for men and women. Of course, the proximity to the ocean remains unchanged after the renovation. It is about 5 meters from the edge of the waves, and depending on the weather, you may be splashed by the waves. The spring is a salt-containing earth salt spring that is poured over the water. Bathing at sunrise, when the sun rises over the horizon and dyes the surface of the sea, is popular, but you can also feel as if you are one with the blue sea at other times of the day.
