Spring (March-May) temperatures and clothing at Kawaguchiko (Fuji Five Lakes)
Spring around Lake Kawaguchi is about 5°C cooler than the average temperature in Tokyo. Fuji is still covered with snow in March, the lowest average temperature is -1.7℃, and the lowest average temperature in April is 3.1℃, so a down coat or heavy coat is a must. Fuji and flowers such as Someiyoshino and Oyama-zakura turn the area around Lake Kawaguchi pink. The temperatures reach a high of 15°C or higher during the daytime, but lows are around 6°C.
