This popular product is always mentioned when talking about Japanese sweets in Yamanashi. Because it is loved by people of all ages, it boasts immense trustworthiness as a souvenir. Also, the procedure for eating it differs from person to person, making it enjoyable to talk about how to eat it.

Seigetsu, a confectionery manufacturer with seven stores in Yamanashi Prefecture, makes all of its sweets by hand. They are made with carefully selected ingredients such as milk, fresh cream, and sea salt imported from France. In particular, the "Koshu Raisin," which is made from raisin-processed large pioneer grapes from Yamanashi Prefecture and sandwiched between crispy cookies, is a perfect souvenir. This luxurious confectionary is made with a sweet white chocolate cream and juicy large raisins that meld together in the mouth. We also recommend the Italian rolls, which are fluffy sponge wrapped in puff pastry dough. In addition to standard items such as "Plain" filled with fresh cream and "Choco Select" made with bitter chocolate, seasonal items such as strawberry and peach are also available.

Natto, Japan's proud superfood, and doughnuts loved by people of all ages go surprisingly well together. This is a product that pursues the freshly made deliciousness and original flavor of Shingen mochi. It uses 100% pear North America produced in Yamanashi Prefecture and half the amount of sugar used in conventional products to enhance the flavor of the rice, so it lasts only three days. As the product name says "raw," it is a confectionery that should be eaten the same day it is purchased, if possible. The moderately sized rice cake is covered with a generous amount of soybean flour made from Japanese soybeans, and melts smoothly in the mouth. It can be eaten as is or with a drizzle of Kuromitsu (brown sugar).

This is a "bean to bar" chocolate store that handles the entire process from cacao beans to chocolate making. The cool climate of Yatsugatake is ideal for storing cacao and aging chocolates, which is why the store has its own workshop. The "Premium Gâteau Chocolat," made with only the highest quality, carefully selected ingredients and decorated with Kanazawa gold leaf "Palais d'Or" bonbon chocolates, is a must-try souvenir. The store is directly managed by a poultry farm in Yatsugatake. Fresh eggs, chicken meat, and their processed products are highly popular among locals and tourists alike. A must-have is Nakamura Farm's Orange Eggs, which are characterized by their orange-colored, firm yolks. They are also popular for their deliciously baked simple fried eggs. A must-have souvenir of Kiyosato is the Jersey Milk Jam from the historic tourist Property "Seisenryo. Rich organic Jersey milk with a milk fat content of over 4.3% produced at the Seisenryo Jersey Farm is boiled down with organic sugar to create a smooth taste. It is characterized by its rich caramel-like color and gentle sweetness, and goes well with freshly baked toast and bread rolls. We also recommend adding it to tea or coffee. This general merchandise store is located in Fuji Oishi Hana Terrace, a shopping mall in Kawaguchiko. The store is directly operated by a washi manufacturer in Ichikawa Misato-cho, Nishiyashiro-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture, which boasts a thousand-year history as a washi production center. Inside the store, you will find a variety of goods and stationery made from washi, as well as papier-mache items such as Daruma dolls and beckoning cats for good luck.
Of particular note is the "SIWA│SHIWA" series. The durable, unbreakable washi paper is crumpled to create a unique texture and sewn like a leather product to produce a wide variety of daily necessities. Inden" is deerskin with fine patterns applied with lacquer. It is an original product of "Inden-ya" headquartered in Kofu City, and is called "Koshu Inden". Indenya was founded in 1582 and has long been loved by fashionable people as a chic accessory, and the same is true today. While preserving traditional patterns such as the "Seigaiha" wave pattern, the "Takamine" superimposed on Mt. Fuji, and the "Kozakura Shobu," a combination of two patterns, the company has evolved its products to meet the needs of the current era, and they are popular among a wide range of ages.
