A comfortable ski resort boasting an 85% sunny weather rate. In addition to seven unique slopes, there is a snow park, which can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. The most distinctive feature of the resort is the long course, which runs 3 km long with a spectacular view of Yatsugatake and Mt. Linden slope, which has a maximum slope of 27 degrees, is located in the middle of the course, but it is a flat single slope that is beautifully maintained, so it is a must-do challenge. The Larch slope and the neighboring Alpine slope are connected to form a heart-shaped slope, making it popular as a lovers' mecca.

Family-friendly ski resort for families with children

This is a skiing-only ski area, and snowboarding can also be enjoyed only during night skiing. For intermediate and advanced skiers, the center slope with a maximum slope of 26 degrees and 600 meters is recommended. It is perfect for practicing high-speed carving turns. On the other hand, the Romance Slope is popular among beginners. The wide range of gentle slopes allows you to practice in a relaxed and comfortable manner.
A must-visit is the "Forest of Creation, Mochigo no Oka Observation Deck," a 3-minute walk from the top of Lift 1. Fuji (3,776m), Kitadake (3,193m), and Okuhotaka (3,190m), the top three highest mountains in Japan.

In "Kids Land," there is a sledding slope, a snow strider area, an animal amusement park with animal-shaped fluffy equipment (air play equipment) and slides, and a UFO slider course. On weekends, mascots also make appearances. You can dance with them and take pictures with them. Also open on weekends and holidays is a mini zoo where visitors can interact with alpacas, guinea pigs, and rabbits.
Lunchtime and après-ski are also endless fun. Restaurants offer a wide variety of authentic Western cuisine, including pizzas baked in a stone oven. Next to the ski area is the Happouen Shika-no-yu hot spring Property, where the green natural hot spring will warm your body gradually.

Beruga, located in Hakushu-cho, Hokuto City, is a large park with a campground, hot spring properties, and restaurants. A variety of Experience menus are available throughout the year, and one of the most popular is "Bonfire de Baumkuchen Making. The process begins with the preparation of the bamboo "wick," and once the dough is made and a bonfire is built, the dough is dipped into the wick and roasted over a fire. It is fun to watch the baumkuchen gradually grow in size as the process is repeated over and over again. It will be even more fun to compete with friends and family members to see who can bake the best baumkchen.

Along with baumkuchen making, "bonfire with fallen leaves" is another popular activity. As the name implies, participants gather fallen leaves from the forest to make a bonfire.
