Hirosaki Park is one of the most popular spots in Japan, where you can view cherry blossoms with the stone walls of Hirosaki Castle in the background. 1Hirosaki Park (Hirosaki Castle)

Hirosaki Castle is one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Japan. In the park, visitors can enjoy 2,600 cherry trees of about 50 varieties. The main variety is Someiyoshino, which blooms from late April to early May. In addition, Yaebenishidare (weeping cherry) blooms from early May, and a variety of other varieties can be seen for more than a month.
There are many viewing points for cherry blossoms, and among the most popular are the cherry blossom view from the main circle with Mt. The "hananakada," or flower rafts of fallen petals that float over the moat, is also a beautiful sight to behold, as if a carpet of pink is spread out.

2Gappo (Gappo) Park
Enjoy cherry blossom viewing and festivals with the blue sea in the background

3Azuma (Azuma) Park Sakurayama
More than 50 varieties of cherry blossoms attract visitors
Kuroishi City is located right in the center of Aomori Prefecture. Higashi Park Sakurayama, a place of recreation and relaxation for citizens, is a cherry blossom viewing spot where visitors can see approximately 700 cherry trees of 52 varieties from late April to early May. The main varieties include Someiyoshino, weeping cherry, and mountain cherry.
In addition, there are also rare varieties such as the Gyoikohi, which has pale green flowers, and the Yangkihi, whose beauty is likened to that of an immortal beauty. Among these, the Banriko, a type of yaezakura, is particularly fashionable to look at. Only the edges of the white petals are dyed deep pink.
The Kuroishi Cherry Blossom Festival, held for nearly two weeks from the end of April, is also popular for its various events.

4Hachinohe Park
Enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a spacious park
A comprehensive leisure park covering an area of 37 hectares, representing Hachinohe City. It is one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in the prefecture. From late April to early May, about 2,000 cherry trees, mainly Someiyoshino, color the park.
The park is divided into nine zones, of which the "Sakura no Mori Zone" is recommended in spring. There are six Masu seats (free of charge, no reservation required) that can be used by 5 to 10 people under the cherry blossoms, providing a premier hanami experience.
On G.W., "Hachinohe Park Spring Festival" is also held. The park also holds the "Hachinohe Park Spring Festival" on G.W., featuring jazz performances, cheerleading, singing shows, and a variety of other events every day to the delight of visitors from inside and outside the city.

5Sanpachijo (Miyagi) Park
A popular hanami spot within walking distance from the station
A 1.6 ha civic park built on the ruins of Hachinohe Castle. An oasis for the people of Hachinohe, it is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing in spring. About 50 Someiyoshino cherry trees can be seen in the park, and during the blooming season from late April to early May, the park is crowded with cherry blossom-viewing visitors mainly on weekends.
A recommended viewing point is the lawn square. Surrounded by cherry blossoms, it is the perfect place to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. On fine days, there are groups of people spreading out leisure sheets and having a party, while others take a walk while admiring the cherry blossoms, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The park also has playground equipment, making it a great place for families.

6Towada City Government Street
A beautiful combination of cherry blossoms, pine trees, and art objects
This road is known locally as "Koma Kaido" and has been selected as one of the "100 Best Roads in Japan. The 1.1 km street is lined with cherry trees and pine trees, and in spring the contrast between the gorgeous blooming cherry blossoms and the green of the pine trees is vivid. The cherry blossoms are mainly Someiyoshino cherry trees, but there are also Kanzan cherry trees, Takanezakura cherry trees, Yaebenishidare cherry trees, and other 156 cherry trees, as well as 26 art objects scattered along the path.
In conjunction with the blooming of the cherry trees, Towada City Hall opens its 5th floor lobby to the public, offering a panoramic view of Kanchogaidori Avenue, which turns a soft pink.

Enjoy the Towada City Spring Festival with cherry blossoms in full bloom
This is a big event held during the cherry blossom viewing season in the city, with Towada City Government Office Street as the main venue. The festival features street performances including the "Yosakoi Genki Matsuri" and "Sakura Yabusame (horseback archery)" by female knights, as well as many other fun events. During the festival, the observation lobby of Towada City Hall, which overlooks the cherry blossoms on Kanchogaidori, is open to the public (9:00-20:00). The lobby is lit up at night, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night as well.
