The café in the Western-style building at Fujita Memorial Park offers seven varieties of apple pie that are highly regarded throughout Hirosaki City. You can enjoy the unique characteristics of each, including pies from popular pastry shops like “Jardin” and “Oak Rail,” as well as those from apple farms.
Since the farms are located in the suburbs, why not stop by here to sample them? The apple pie from “Tsugaru Yume Apple Farm” features a rich, buttery crust that pairs perfectly with the sweet-and-tart flavor of the generously cut apple chunks.The apple pie from “Tamura Farm” features beautiful ruby-red Kogetsu apples peeking through the crust; its subtle sweetness and light texture are the secrets to its popularity. At Fujita Memorial Park, visitors can tour the residence and Japanese garden of Kenichi Fujita, a businessman from Hirosaki City. Built in 1921 as a villa, the first-floor hall and sunroom of the Western-style house are used as a café, the Taisho-Roman Tea Room. The original floor tiles, window frames, and window glass remain, conveying the elegant space of the Taisho period. This is one place where you can enjoy the wonderful architecture, beautiful garden views, and delicious apple pie.

If you enjoy alcoholic beverages, why not savor Hirosaki’s apples through cider? Cider, made by fermenting apple juice, is characterized by its floral aroma and a light, effervescent mouthfeel. “Hirosaki Cider Workshop Kimori,” located within Hirosaki Apple Park, brews its cider using apples grown in its own orchards.There are four varieties: “Dry,” which is dry and pairs well with meals; “Sweet,” perfect as an aperitif or with desserts; “Harvest,” a limited-edition cider made exclusively from that year’s apple harvest; and “Green,” available only in the spring. At the workshop, you can observe the cider-making process and enjoy tastings for 600 yen per glass.

Hirosaki City Apple Park is home to approximately 2,300 apple trees of 80 varieties, and in the fall, visitors can experience apple picking. The apple fields with the majestic Mt. Iwaki in the background is one of Hirosaki's typical sceneries. The "Apple House" in the park sells Kimori cider and other local specialties, and the cafe corner offers a menu of apple cutlet curry, apple pie, apple soft serve, and other dishes arranged with local specialties.

The apples, cut into large pieces, are juicy and crispy. The cinnamon flavor enhances the sweetness of the apples, a perfect combination. It also contains a small amount of jelly for a smooth and smooth texture, so do not heat it up.
