Mixed juice" is a local delicacy representative of Osaka, combining the fresh sweetness of fruit and the mildness of milk. This drink was created by making the most of ripe fruits with the idea that it would be a waste to throw them away, and since its birth in Shinsekai, Osaka during the Showa period (1926-1989), it has been a favorite menu item at coffee shops.
Mixed juice, which is imbued with the merchant spirit of the Osaka people, has evolved into a flavor that incorporates the individuality of each store, and is still served at many coffee shops today. The exterior of the coffee shop, which was established in 1947, was renovated in 2021 while retaining its original appearance. The nostalgic atmosphere of the store, which still retains a nostalgic aspect but is somewhat sophisticated, is filled with the aroma of freshly brewed siphon coffee, making for a pleasant and relaxing experience.

The mixed juice, which has a sorbet-like texture, is made from fruits such as bananas, tangerines, and Japanese yellow peaches. It is characterized by a light sweetness that does not linger, and the banana flavor can be fully appreciated.

The pudding a la mode, made entirely in house, is also excellent!

Pudding a la mode," whose theme changes seasonally, is a popular menu item that features old-fashioned hard pudding as the main ingredient. At the time of the interview, it was a tropical specimen of gently flavored ice cream made with Okinawan mangoes, crispy light coconut tuile, and sweet and sour pineapple. All toppings are homemade, and the gorgeous looks are also very exciting.
Cookies, financiers, and other baked goods are also available for sale, making them perfect as small souvenirs. Please note that only cashless payment is accepted when you visit the store.

Shinsekai's most legendary coffee shop for over 95 years

Currently run by the third-generation owner, this long-established store was established in 1928 and is regarded as the oldest coffee shop in Shinsekai. In addition to coffee shop menu items such as pudding and pancakes, the shop also offers a variety of meals such as curry and pilaf.
The mixed juice, which has undergone many minor changes based on the original recipe, is made without bananas, which is rare in Osaka. It is made from a mix of apples, yellow peaches, tangerines, and mangoes. By using fresh apples instead of canned, a refreshing aftertaste is achieved. It is especially delicious in the winter when apples are in season.

The mixed juice, made mainly from yellow peaches, white peaches, tangerines, and pineapple, is smooth and slightly pulpy. The addition of orange syrup gives it a refreshing sweetness. The rich and mild flavor is truly "Naniwa's Royal Road Mixed Juice. It is also recommended for those who are new to mixed juices.

The interior is very nostalgic, with marble tables, vermilion leather sofas, rounded silver lighting, and other features that reflect the high-carat taste of the first owner, who originally ran a photo studio. Just looking at the interior makes one's heart flutter. It is said that this coffee shop is often featured in the media as a coffee shop with a beautiful interior.

One of the pioneers of mixed juices, the shop was founded in Shinsekai in 1948 as a fruit shop, and its roots can be traced back to the original owner's idea of mixing ripe fruit in a blender and serving it in the store. The delicious taste of the fruit gained a good reputation, and in 1960, the business changed to a coffee shop. Although the store was once closed due to a lack of successors, it made a successful comeback.
The mixed juice, which recreates the traditional taste, is a well-balanced blend of apples, bananas, tangerines, yellow peaches, and white peaches, with a natural sweetness. They leave a little of the apple peel on to enhance the fresh flavor and aroma.
