The beach which represents Yaeyama in the TaketomiIsland west. A white beach and clear cobalt blue are a beautiful sea. That you can swim in TaketomiIsland, only this beach. The parlor to which rental of a parasol and shaved ice are sold has the shower, a locker room and a restroom, and opens a season in summer. It's shallow and is a very gentle sea, so even your small child can enjoy sea bathing surely. An snow-white sandy beach continues, so it's also fun to draw a picture in sand and do playing in the sand. A change with the color which shifts by time and a gradation with the color of the sea are beauty which will watch an eye.

After the last ship has departed, the sunset is beautiful and is in a quiet beach.

The Kay Hama

The popular place called an another name "Hoshizuna-no-hama"

The coast which is next to KONDOIBICHI. When it passes through the trees overgrown like a tunnel, a clear blue sea and a white sandy beach spread. It's famous to be able to be called an another name "Hoshizuna-no-hama" and find stellar sand. When a palm is forced on sand and the sand which stuck to a hand is often seen, a small grain shaped like a star is found. Shell of the foraminifer an identity struck in seaweed. It isn't possible to bring it home, but it's possible to buy a key chain with astral sand at a gift shop. Western jetty

I look at the beautiful sunset from the pier which develops in a sea.

The pier which develops straight in a sea located in the west side of TaketomiIsland. It was constructed in 1938 and former days were being used as the wharf when being association to Iriomotejima and fishing. I register with national tangible cultural property in 2005. It's learned about as the famous place it's possible to see the wonderful sunset where because it develops to the west. When it's visited in the evening, the beautiful sunset from which an expression changes by a day spreads. After the sun set, time to see the color of the red and baked sky for a while is special. TaketomiIsland YU, bran house (TaketomiIsland Visitor Center)

I touch culture of TaketomiIsland and nature.

Akayama park/tower of calming down

The park loved by local children, too

There is a legend that the defeated soldier who is fleeing the enemy of a one-story house who drifted built a castle resided in TaketomiIsland in "Akayama park" located in a west village in TaketomiIsland. HOSHINOYA Taketomi Island
