I like new places, new environments, and places I've never been before, and have accumulated a list of 1,000 places I'd like to visit. I am also easily inspired by the charm of a place and its people, and my theory about Miyagi is that the people of Tohoku are warm.

What do you recommend (places, experiences, food) in the area?: Utsuwa CAFEGruGru is a 5-minute drive from Hoshino Resorts KAI Akiu. The store is lined with tableware by artists, and one of the pleasures is to be able to choose your favorite cup of coffee. You can also purchase the dishes. There is also a terrace where you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while enjoying the natural beauty of Akiu's rice fields.

Please tell us about the hole in the wall you know because you work there!: Shikarakido is a 25-minute drive from Hoshino Resorts KAI Akiu. This soba and sweet shop has a mature atmosphere and also sells soba utensils. We recommend the juwari soba (buckwheat noodles) and shaved ice in summer. The glass-walled store along the cliff offers a relaxing view of the Hirose River.

Tell us about your most memorable trip, with whom and where you went!: I went to Onomichi in Hiroshima with a friend, which I had always wanted to visit. We went into a store or took a walk on a whim, and spent a very pleasant time listening to the sound of boats in the port town during the day and the quiet sound of waves at night. I now have another favorite place to visit.

What do you do on your days off?: I decided where to go from the list of places I wanted to visit on Google Maps, and went to places I had never been before, such as cafes and general stores.

Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?: I take my "Anything Notebook" with me and write down what was delicious, what I enjoyed, and what moved me during the trip while on the bullet train and before going to bed at night.
