The property stretches along a beautiful coastline and is surrounded by a "Gusuku Wall" inspired by Okinawa's historic "Gusuku" sites. The Property is dotted with a variety of public areas, including all Guest rooms with ocean front desks, a pool open to the ocean for year-round enjoyment, and a dojo that serves as a base for activities. For dining, guests can enjoy "Ryukyu Siciliana," a combination of Okinawan ingredients and Sicilian culinary techniques. Local Guide FAQ
- Where do you recommend to visit on the main island of Okinawa?
I think the view from Manza-gou, the ocean from the cliff, especially in midsummer when the weather is clear, is wonderful.
- Please sneak in some hole-in-the-wall places that you know because you live there.
I am a big fan of beautiful beaches, and this time I would like to recommend one of the best beaches on the main island of Okinawa, Akagubi Beach. When you travel to Okinawa, the first thing you will see is either Shurijo Castle or Churaumi Aquarium. The beach is beautiful, of course, but it's also wonderful that there are almost no visitors and the beach is reserved for private parties.
- What is your most memorable trip?
This is the island of St. Maarten, located in the Caribbean Sea in Central America. The airport runway is right in front of the beach, and it was amazing to see planes descending right over the beach. I had seen it on TV and both of us were talking about how we wanted to go there someday. We both cried when we saw the jumbo jet passing right above us on the beach, which we had both seen on TV and talked about.
- What do you do on your days off?
I have loved rides since I was a child. Since I moved here to Okinawa, I fly to Tokyo several times a month to eat delicious food, attend events, and so on.
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
You may find this surprising, but it is actually "nail clippers. It is also my favorite nice thing made by a craftsman. It is from my experience of traveling abroad, where my nails get chipped or cracked when I carry heavy suitcases.
