1Outdoor Guide kiboco "Snow Picnic
Snowshoe picnic in the silver world
What you can experience at the ski resort with a view of Lake Aoki below is a picnic tour through the pure white forest. After taking the lift to the slopes, first practice walking with snowshoes. Snowshoes are highly buoyant on the snow, making it easy to walk up and down slopes. Guides, who have experience climbing the highest peak in North America, McKinley, will assist you, so even beginners will feel comfortable. After taking the training course, you will finally start the tour, which lasts about one to two hours. Walking through the quiet forest where a world of pure white spreads out, you will feel as if you are one with nature.
Tea time at a snow table while feeling the great nature
As you walk through the forest, where people do not usually enter, you can find footprints of rabbits, deer, and other animals with the help of your guide. The natural beauty of the forest, such as the fantastic ice and wind patterns of the snow, will soothe you as you slowly make your way through the forest on snowshoes. During the tour, there will be a tea time. Tasting homemade fruit tea will warm your body and soul.
In addition, you can try sledding on the snow, or get covered in snow by competing to win the flag in snow flags.

2Hakuba Lion Adventure "Hakuba Snowmobile
Try snow biking on the snow-covered mountains of Hakuba
The club is popular among foreigners for its wide variety of activities. In winter, we recommend the snowmobile experience, which takes you through snowfields where you cannot drive a car. No driver's license is required, and tandem rides (two people) are available for children aged 6 to 11, so families can also enjoy the experience. After meeting at the "Lion Café" attached to the office, we will take a bus and have a lesson first. Then we will ride through powder snow mountains and forests. Although the course is designed for beginners, the sense of speed and exhilaration of riding on snow at speeds of 20 to 30 km/h is irresistible.
Relax at the café before or after your Activity!
In addition to snowmobile touring, there is also "snow rafting," in which a professional snowmobiler tows a raft boat, which can be enjoyed casually by ages 5 and up. Participants can rent ski boots and other items for 500 yen per item, so they can go empty-handed.
Before and after Activity, you can take a break at the Lion Café, where the group will meet. The menu includes burritos and hamburgers filled with vegetables, coffee made from locally roasted beans, and weekend soup.
Snow rafting will be suspended for the 2024-25 season.

3Omachi-Lake Aoki Adventure Club "Night Snow Hike
Night trekking through snow fields under the mysterious starry sky
Trekking through snow-covered fields with snowshoes or "kanjiki," tools used in Japan since ancient times for walking on snow. Night tours offer a different experience than day tours. Winter in Omachi and Hakuba can be extremely cold after dark, but on clear days, the giant constellation of Orion twinkles overhead, and the clear, beautiful starry sky refreshes the soul. On moonlit days, the pure white silver world and the brave Northern Alps are illuminated by the moon, creating a romantic atmosphere. On snowy nights, a special experience awaits you as you walk through the deep powdery snow.
Coffee time in the great outdoors is bliss!
The locations are Nakayama Kogen in Omachi City or Oyahara in Kashimayari Sports Village (Kashimayari Ski Resort). During the 2-hour trekking tour, you can choose which is more comfortable for you to walk in by comparing Kanjiki (snowshoes) and snowshoes. A hot cup of coffee during the walk is an unintentionally happy moment. Oden hot pot (1,500 yen) can be ordered as an option.
The club also offers other activities, such as the "Kanjiki 1-hour Course," in which participants trek through the winter mountains at noon on kanjiki, and the "Snow Game Experience," in which participants can enjoy sled relays and snow throws.

4Lake Kisaki POW WOW Campground & Outdoor "Wakasagi Fishing".
Wakasagi fishing on a warm dome boat
Lake Kisaki, with a circumference of 6.5 km, is located at the foot of the Northern Alps. The lake's high transparency and good water quality have earned it a reputation among anglers for its tasty wakasagi (smelt). Since there is no closed season, wakasagi fishing is available all year round, but the high season is from fall to winter, and from November to March, activities that allow visitors to enjoy fishing in the comfort of a warm dome boat equipped with a stove are very popular. For beginners, a three-hour guided experience is recommended. You will be lent a set of equipment. You can try your hand at fishing at your own pace while being taught how to put on bait and reel.
Catch your own wakasagi for tempura!
Wakasagi fishing uses a five-hook trap. You reel in the hook quickly and carefully, keeping an eye on the wakasagi's wiggle. Since wakasagi are natural fish, it may be difficult to catch them on some days, depending on the weather and other factors, but the moment you catch one is a very special moment. After fishing, return to the shore by motorboat and enjoy tempura of the wakasagi you caught. The freshly fried wakasagi are light and fluffy, and you can eat as many as you like.
In addition to these activities, Kisaki Lake POW WOW also offers camping and SUP experiences during the green season.

5Hakuba Ski Jump Stadium "Start Point Viewing
Experience the spectacle from the jump platform from the athletes' point of view
The stadium was used as the venue for the jumping and Nordic combined events at the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. The Japanese jumping team won the gold medal at this location, creating a lot of excitement. On this large site, about 2.5 times the size of the Tokyo Dome, there are two jumps side by side: the Normal Hill at 107 meters above ground level and the Large Hill at 138 meters above ground level. We took a lift and an observation elevator to the viewing stages at the start of each. The view from the same vantage point as the athletes is breathtakingly high and steep. It is a spectacular sight to behold.
There are also items of interest in honor of the medalists' achievements.
After admiring the breathtaking view from the 28th floor of the building, stop by the Olympic Gallery. The gallery displays a number of images and photos, including precious gold medals. Of particular note are the hidden lucky items: one is the golden No. 1 lift that connects the ground level to the observation elevator. The other is the footprints of the four medalists in the team jump competition, in which Japan won its 100th Olympic gold medal. It is said that many athletes and students visit to pray for victory and to see their lucky items.
