It is said that the Kuzu Hot Spring was founded in 1599, when the villagers, grieving over a bad harvest, went to the mountains to secure food and found a hot spring there. The name "Kuzu" comes from the fact that kuzu was harvested instead of rice and potatoes. Since then, it has been loved as a therapeutic hot spring, and many stone Buddha statues are enshrined in the nearby Yakushido Hall to thank the villagers for their healing. You can enjoy such hot springs rich in efficacy on a one-day trip at a long-established inn established in the early Showa period (early 20th century). Located along the Takase Valley in the Chubu Mountain Park, the outdoor hot spring offers a sense of openness as if you are embraced by nature. The snow-viewing baths in winter are also exceptional.

Enjoy a moment of relaxation in indoor baths of different temperatures.

The hot springs are a combination of "Takase-no-yu" and "soda-no-yu" sources that gush out near the inn. In the indoor baths, there are two bathtubs, "hot" and "lukewarm," with the temperature adjusted by reducing the amount of water, allowing visitors to soak according to their preferences. The outdoor hot spring is made of rocks and is full of natural beauty. Sparks of hot water dance in the open-air bath, warming the body from the core. After bathing, your skin will feel moist and warm. It is no wonder that this secluded hot spring is deep in the mountains and has regular visitors from Omachi City and beyond. In addition to the indoor and outdoor hot springs, there are also private family baths where you can relax in a private space.
