A souvenir shop facing the main street in front of Omachi Station. The shop is located on the main street in front of Omachi Station. "Eezura" means "it's ok" in the Shinshu dialect, and you will find a wide selection of Omachi's specialty products. The store offers a wide selection of sake, including about 10 varieties of local sake from each of the city's three sake breweries, as well as a set of seasonal sake.
Omachi City, with its long hours of sunshine and large temperature differences, has also been attracting attention in recent years for its wine production. Wine and hard cider from wineries established by grape farmers are very popular as Omachi souvenirs. Craft beer made with Omachi's famous water by a local brewery is also recommended.

Don't miss the folk crafts such as woodwork and handmade Japanese paper accessories by Omachi-based artists. Hand-carved hardwood vessels in the shape of apples and leaves give a sense of warmth with their carved marks. In addition to dishes and cutlery, there are also straps carved from wood with animal motifs.

2Hemp House
Simple oyaki filled with ingredients and deeply delicious
Located in the Miasashinkyo district of Omachi City, which is about 900 meters above sea level and known for its soba noodles, this Dining Area on the first floor is popular for its aromatic soba noodles made from local flour, but it is also known for its delicious oyaki, a local delicacy of Shinshu. The traditional oyaki is made from a mixture of several kinds of flour, wrapped with ingredients seasoned with miso, and baked in a traditional way. Since only about 80 oyakis are made each day, reservations are required at least one day in advance.

There is also a museum that introduces the cultivation of hemp, which once supported people's lives.
The second floor of the building is a hemp museum. As the name "Mima" comes from the address, hemp used to be cultivated extensively in this area and was a valuable fiber crop that supported people's daily lives. The museum introduces visitors to the tools actually used, scenes of hemp cultivation, and the process of turning hemp into products. Visitors can get a glimpse of the history of hemp as well as the lifestyle of the time. Visitors who use the Dining Area on the first floor, including those who want to take out oyaki, can visit the museum free of charge.

3Ikeda Town Herb Center
A wide variety of items using local herbs
This roadside station is located in Ikeda Town, a neighbor of Omachi City. Upon entering the spacious building, you will be surrounded by the fresh scent of herbs. Here you will find a wide variety of goods made from lavender, chamomile, mint, sage, rosemary, and other herbs that are local products of the town. We recommend the "Ofuro no herb," made from 100% Ikeda Town herbs. Simply add the pack to the bathtub to create a pleasant aroma. Other popular souvenirs include hand-picked chamomile tea and elderflower syrup that can be mixed with water.

Enjoy a sampling of herbs, from soft-serve ice cream to garden tours and footbaths!
Be sure to try the Herb Center's original soft-serve ice cream. In addition to the refreshingly sweet "Herb" (lavender and mint), there is also a "Mulberry" flavor made from Ikeda's specialty mulberry tea, which is said to be a Japanese herb.
Across the road, the herb garden and lavender garden spread out and can be visited free of charge. The greenhouse herb garden grows 50 to 60 varieties of plants. Next to the garden, there is a footbath with herbs that change daily. Soaking in the herb bath with a view of the peaceful countryside is an enjoyable experience.
As of April 2020, the footbath is closed for the time being to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

A supermarket loved by the people of Nagano Prefecture. It offers a wide variety of original and collaborative products, making it a great place to look for souvenirs. Especially abundant are products made from seasonal fruits from Shinshu and other regions, including about 20 kinds of dried fruits with various textures, as well as seasonal rare fruits such as Shine Muscat. The mild-tasting "apple butter" is a hot item that has been sold out since it was introduced on TV.

Karinto is a popular simple snack. The "Miso Karinto" has an addictive sweet and spicy flavor from the original "Shinshu Kurazume Miso" and sanonto sugar, the "Milk Karinto" is made from "Poppo Milk" from Nobeyama, Yatsugatake, and the "Coffee Karinto" uses Maruyama Coffee's coffee beans.
