A women's trip on the Amahama Line in Hamamatsu, where you'll encounter cute and delicious foods

Hamamatsu is a city with a rich natural environment just one step outside of the city center. Along the Tenryu Hamanako Line (commonly known as the Tenhama Line), which winds through a peaceful satoyama landscape, you will find retro station buildings, properties that will make you feel like you are visiting Northern Europe, and other cute spots that will make you smile. There are also plenty of local delicacies around the stations. You can fully enjoy a women's trip that will make your heart flutter.

Tenryu Futamata Station is located 33 minutes on the Entei Line from Shin-Hamamamatsu Station, and is the second stop after changing to the Amahama Line at Nishi-Kashima Station. The wooden one-story gabled station building has a retro atmosphere. The waiting room, with its impressive ship-bottomed ceiling used in Japanese-style rooms, also exudes a sense of nostalgia. The unique layout of the ticket window protruding into the spacious waiting room is also unique to this station. The station building, platform, and other buildings as they were when the station first opened have been designated as a registered tangible cultural property of Japan.

In the back of the building, a turntable and a wooden fan-shaped garage still in operation remain in their original state. Daily tours are offered, including a tour of the building, which is registered as a tangible cultural property, and a demonstration of how the turntable is moved and the diesel cars are moved into the garage.
When you get off the train at Tenryu Futamata Station, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time to the Showa Era when diesel trains were in operation. You can immerse yourself in a nostalgic feeling not only by taking a tour of the station, but also by strolling around the station.

One stop from the Fruit Park Station is Miyakoda Station, which appears at the end of a peaceful rural landscape. As you get off the train and head toward the unmanned ticket gate, you will be greeted by colorful fabric panels adorning the station walls.
These panels are made of Scandinavian fabrics, including the Finnish design brand Marimekko. Combined with the wooden chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, the 80-year-old retro building has been transformed into a more sophisticated space.

Part of this space, which used to be a waiting room and a pharmacy, was renovated and utilized as the "Station Cafe. Inside the store, with its vintage furniture and handmade Scandinavian fabrics, time passes leisurely. Enjoy the view of the train arriving at the station with homemade sweets served on Marimekko tableware and aromatic coffee brewed from a siphon. You can enjoy such a peaceful moment.

 Freshly made tofu meal

About a 10-minute walk from Miyakoda Station, the Restaurant is located in a stately old house marked by a yellow handkerchief tied to a rope. The first floor sales area sells tofu, deep-fried tofu, konnyaku, tofu sweets, and other products made by Sube Shoten, which has been making tofu for four generations since its establishment in 1877. Local agricultural products and goods decorated with Enshu silk are also available.
Tofu made with carefully selected soybeans and bittern, using 100% natural groundwater from the Southern Alps, is an excellent product with the natural sweetness of soybeans. The "cotton (momen) tofu" is particularly fresh, with a soft, silky texture that collapses in the mouth. It is proud of the fact that it does not become hard even when boiled tofu is used.
