2Asahidaki Waterfall
A 5-minute drive from Shuzenji hot spring. There is Asahidaki Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in Izu City. It is said to have received its name from the fact that it shines when the morning sun rises, receiving light from the front. The drop is approximately 105 meters, and the water flows down the rock surface in six stages. The rock surface on which the waterfall flows is noteworthy. It looks as if the rocks were artificially piled up. These are exposed cross sections of columnar joints, which are columnar cracks formed during the cooling and solidification process of lava.
As a valuable place for understanding the formation of the earth, it has been designated as part of the Izu Peninsula Geopark. As you follow the boardwalk leading up to the waterfall, you can not only witness the mysterious shapes created by nature up close, but also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the waterfall woven by the four seasons.
3JOUGASAKI BEACH
Jogasaki Coast, a famous Izu landmark, is a 40-minute walk from Jogasaki Kaigan Station on the Izu Kyuko Line. The cape was formed by lava from the eruption of Mt. Omuro about 4,000 years ago, and over the years, waves have eroded the cape. Over the years, waves eroded the cape, creating a coastline of cliffs several tens of meters high. The intricate 9-kilometer-long coastline offers beautiful and varied scenery. Despite being a well-known tourist destination, the vastness of the area makes it impossible to visit all of the sights just once.
Walking Paths with Undiscovered and Spectacular Views
On the Jogasaki Coast, there is a 3-km picnic course and a 6-km nature study path, which allows visitors to enjoy strolling around the spectacular scenery. The most famous sights are the thrilling 48-meter-long, 23-meter-high Kadowaki Suspension Bridge and the Kadowaki Lighthouse, from which you can view the open sea from the nearby observation platform. Further along the walking trail is the 60-meter-long Hashidate Suspension Bridge. There are few tourists here, so you can take your time to enjoy the beautiful ocean from the suspension bridge.
Other highlights include "Oyodo and Koyodo," natural swimming pools, and "Tajima Falls," which appear only when the river is full of water. The more you walk, the more you will be greeted by undiscovered and spectacular scenery.

4Wada Jurojin no Yu
Boasting one of the largest amounts of hot spring water in Japan, Ito Hot Spring is a historic hot spring resort that is said to have been founded in the Heian period (794-1192). Ito's three hot springs, Wada-no-yu, Deketsu-no-yu, and Inoto-no-yu, are said to have been gushing hot springs in the early Edo period (1603-1868), and have long been popular as places for healing.
The historic hot spring can still be enjoyed today at "Wada Jurojin no Yu," the predecessor of "Wada no Yu. In the Edo period (1603-1867), this hot spring was presented to the third shogun, Iemitsu, and is said to have helped him recover from his illness. The "Dekiyu" and "Inoto no Yu", whose hot water has been depleted, are each enshrined in a shrine as "Yubigongen", a guardian of hot water. Visitors soak in "Wada Jurojin no Yu" and pay homage to "Yubigongen. Such a tour of the famous "Three Hot Springs of Ito" is recommended.
