Experience the romance of a voyage of discovery at Hoshino Resorts KAI Anjin.
Ito hot springs have been loved by the shoguns of Edo for a long time because of the high quality hot spring water that gushes out of the hot spring. It is known not only for its hot springs, but also as the historical site where Anjin Miura, an English navigator, built Japan's first Western-style sailing ship.
Hoshino Resorts KAI Anjin is located on the very spot where the shipyard once stood. Overlooking the shimmering blue waters of Sagami Bay, the marine antique interior and English-style décor will take you back in time to the Age of Discovery, a time of dreams and hopes.
On your way to and from the hotel, you can take a cruise reminiscent of a voyage, or stop by a popular local confectionery or coffee shop. We suggest that you take a road trip to Hoshino Resorts KAI Anjin and enjoy the sea, delicacies, and hot springs of Ito.

The second-generation owner's colorful wagashi sweets, made according to the seasons and events, are very popular, and the most popular flavors are often gone before noon. The signature product, which may seem surprising for a Japanese-style confectionery store, is the "Crunchy Danish. The owner, who is a first-class Japanese confectionery technician but also has a deep knowledge of Western confectionery, invented this sweet with a new texture that mixes the best of Japanese and Western sweets. The key is the whipped cream mixed with anko (red bean paste), which adds Japanese flavor and sweetness. It is squeezed into the Danish when ordered, giving it an exquisite crunchy texture.
The shop also offers such staples as dumplings, o-hagi (rice cakes), and sekihan (red rice), which explains why it has so many regular customers. When visiting the store, call to make a reservation so you can purchase without waiting.
