Seigetsu, a confectionery manufacturer with seven stores in Yamanashi Prefecture, makes all of its sweets by hand. They are made with carefully selected ingredients such as milk, fresh cream, and sea salt imported from France. In particular, the "Koshu Raisin," which is made from raisin-processed large pioneer grapes from Yamanashi Prefecture and sandwiched between crispy cookies, is a perfect souvenir. This luxurious confectionary is made with a sweet white chocolate cream and juicy large raisins that meld together in the mouth. The best raw Shingen rice cake that melts in your mouth!
This is a product that pursues the freshly made deliciousness and original flavor of Shingen mochi. It uses 100% pear North America produced in Yamanashi Prefecture and half the amount of sugar used in conventional products to enhance the flavor of the rice, so it lasts only three days. As the product name says "raw," it is a confectionery that should be eaten the same day it is purchased, if possible. The moderately sized rice cake is covered with a generous amount of soybean flour made from Japanese soybeans, and melts smoothly in the mouth. The store is directly operated by a washi manufacturer in Ichikawa Misato-cho, Nishiyashiro-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture, which boasts a thousand-year history as a washi production center. Inside the store, you will find a variety of goods and stationery made from washi, as well as papier-mache items such as Daruma dolls and beckoning cats for good luck.
Of particular note is the "SIWA│SHIWA" series. The durable, unbreakable washi paper is crumpled to create a unique texture and sewn like a leather product to produce a wide variety of daily necessities.
