5Kohjiri Ryujin Festival Fireworks Display 8/4 (Mon) 20:00~
Underwater fireworks", semicircular flowers blooming on the surface of the lake, are exceptional.
The Kozu Ryujin Festival, a festival of Kutouryu Myojin, the guardian deity of Lake Ashinoko, is held as part of the fireworks display. After the Shinto ritual is performed at the Kutouryuu Shrine, the sacred fire is carried to Kozujiri Bay and ignited in a bonfire, which is the signal for the fireworks display. The highlight of the festival is the underwater fireworks. The fireworks are shot toward the surface of the lake, creating a semicircle of blooming flowers on the lake, and at the same time the sparkles of the fireworks are reflected on the surface of the water, creating a spectacular sight. Fireworks in a small bay with mountains in the foreground reverberate with the sound, making the fireworks even more powerful.
After the fireworks, don't miss the marching band performed by high school students from all over the country.

The silhouette of the torii gates as they burn fiercely invites the viewer into a mysterious world. At the same time, the fireworks display begins. The fireworks display continues until the torii gate burns down, with three types of fireworks in rotation: a large shakudama, which gloriously colors the sky above, beautiful fireworks blooming near overhead, and underwater fireworks fanning out on the surface of the sea. 7Hakone Gora Summer Hot Spring Daimonji Yaki (Daimonji Fire) 8/16 (Sat) 19:30~
The "Dai" (big fire) and the fireworks are a magnificent display.
Since 1921, this festival has been held every year around the time of the Obon Festival, and is one of the three major festivals in Hakone.
The festival is held near the summit of Mt. Meiseigatake, 924 meters above sea level. The character for "dai" is made from 250 bundles of dried shinodake bamboo (about 30 cm in diameter) and 200 to 300 torches (about 2.5 m high). When lit, the character appears in the darkness and fireworks are shot off. The fireworks display is centered on the "Starmine," a series of rapid-firing fireworks, as well as other fireworks, including a 110-meter Niagara, and other fireworks.
The sight of the beautiful fireworks blooming over the majestic fire letters burning on the surface of the mountains is truly fantastic.
