Founded in 1950, this bakery in town has been loved by people of all ages. The popular item, "crème coronet," is a fluffy, light-textured bread filled with smooth, fresh cream with a moderate sweetness. Because the bakery wants its customers to eat healthy, it uses only butter, not margarine or shortening, in its bread. Other breads include prepared breads such as "Beef Curry Bread" and "Squid Geso Bread," as well as a selection of cakes such as "Apple Pie. 5Fukujusuya, specializing in high-grade inari-jusuya
Inari sushi with a new taste sensation
Founded in 1922, this sushi restaurant specializes in inari sushi. Its signature product is the Inari Jushi, which comes in two varieties: one with vinegared lotus and the other with red pickled ginger. Vinegared inari with lotus is wrapped in fried bean curd and seared on the surface to give it a savory flavor.
Sweet Potato Inari, which contains sweet potato instead of vinegared rice, is a new specialty of Asakusa. Two types of sweet potatoes, Naruto-kintoki and Beni-azuma, are used in different cooking methods to express the sweetness and hokkiness of sweet potatoes. To finish, the surface is coated with a brûlée-like coating and topped with a generous amount of sesame seeds. This is a product available only by reservation.
Delivering deliciousness in step with the times while preserving tradition
After going out of business, it reopened in 2020. Based on the method passed down from generation to generation, inari sushi has been reborn in accordance with the times. The broth has been reconstructed to have a light flavor that will not bore you, so as not to spoil the original soybean flavor of the fried bean curd. Two types of fried bean curd, one from Niigata Prefecture and the other from Saitama Prefecture, are used in both the light and sweet products. The technique of flipping over the fried bean curd and wrapping it in vinegared rice, which expresses the desire for customers to keep coming back, has not changed since the establishment of the company. Why not try the gorgeous Inarizushi, which looks like a flower blooming, as a souvenir from Asakusa?
