Always with a smile on her face!
When she was a university student, she first encountered the "Suzume Odori" dance performed at the Aoba Festival in Sendai, and since then she has loved it more than any other three meals a day. She is always full of smiles to brighten up the world around her, and she is more eager than ever to spread the charm of Miyagi.

The inn is located in Akiu, a hot spring located deep in the heart of Sendai. The beauty of the mountain stream, which stands out with the seasons, can be viewed from all rooms. In the lounge, where the hospitality of the innkeepers shines through, you can forget about your daily life with the murmuring of the stream and the breeze.

Local Guide FAQ
- What do you recommend (places, experiences, food) in the area?
The Akiu area is recommended for its natural beauty. The Akiu Great Falls is one of the best places in Akiu, where you can descend to the very bottom of the waterfall and feel the powerful flow of water. It is a must-see spot when you come to Akiu!
- Please tell us about the hole in the wall you know because you work there!
I recommend a coffee shop called Jeenya. Located 13 minutes by car from Hoshino Resorts KAI Akiu, you can enjoy the view of the mountains and rice paddies through the large windows, along with seasonal dishes and desserts.
- Tell us about your most memorable trip, with whom and where you went!
A trip to Narita-san in Chiba. When I was a student, I performed "Suzume Odori," a traditional Miyagi performing art, and Narita-san was the place I visited on that expedition. After becoming a member of society, I visited Naritasan with my sparrow dancing friends, and the memory of eating the famous eel while reminiscing about our school days left a lasting impression on me. Naritasan Shinshoji Temple also allowed me to make progress in my hobby of collecting several types of red seals.
- What do you do on your days off?
I like sweets, so I visit cafes. It is often said that when you are tired, you should eat something sweet, but I eat sweet even when I am in good spirits!
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
A red seal book is indispensable! I have always loved stamp rallies, and by extension I collect red seals from all over Japan. I tend to travel mainly for food, but since my stomach gets bloated from eating all the time, I always put collecting red seals in between.
