A chuka-ka-gee with a wonderful smile
She is an Okinawan beauty with a wonderful smile who always remembers to be close to Guest/customer. She cares for Guest/customer as much as anyone else, and she never forgets to care for Staff/staff members. She has strength in her gentleness, and her humble attitude is one of her charms.
- HOSHINOYA Okinawa
-
HOSHINOYA Okinawa" opened on July 1, 2020, located in Yomitan Village in the central part of Okinawa's main island, about 60 minutes by car from Naha Airport. The property stretches along a beautiful coastline and is surrounded by a "Gusuku Wall" inspired by Okinawa's historic "Gusuku" sites. The Property is dotted with a variety of public areas, including all Guest rooms with ocean front desks, a pool open to the ocean for year-round enjoyment, and a dojo that serves as a base for activities. For dining, guests can enjoy "Ryukyu Siciliana," a combination of Okinawan ingredients and Sicilian culinary techniques. You can stay as if you were living with a view of the ocean in a space that is a collection of Okinawan luxuries.

Local Guide FAQ
- What do you recommend in the Yomitan area?
In the Yomitan area, I recommend Miyakoya Fishing Port, a 10-minute drive from the hotel. You can enjoy freshly fried tempura with fluffy batter, a standard Okinawan snack, and the seafood rice bowl and Miyakoya Fishing Port's original mozuku rice bowl are also popular for their gentle flavors that can be enjoyed by both children and adults.
- Please sneak in some hole-in-the-wall places that you know because you live there.
Flowers are also a highlight of Okinawa's unique four seasons. In winter in January, visitors can enjoy the bright pink scarlet cherry blossoms at Yaedake in the northern part of the island, and in spring around March, visitors can enjoy the dignified purple blossoms of the ochra leluka in Ogimi Village. In summer in July, the fantastic sagaribana flowers, which bloom only at night, bloom in Yomitan Village, Naha City, and Nago City, and in autumn around October, orange houou-bok trees bloom near Naha Kokusai-dori Street. A flower tour of Okinawa according to the season is also recommended!
- What is your most memorable trip?
I spent several months backpacking alone through five countries in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Taiwan. I still have fond memories of the days I spent touring markets, looking for delicious food based on my sense of smell, without relying on guidebooks as much as possible.
- What do you do on your days off?
My recent hobby is watching TV programs that introduce tourist spots and markets around the world and eating foreign cuisine. Eating local food while watching images of different countries makes me feel like I am on a trip, and it makes me even more excited for my next trip.
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
One thing I always bring is a pair of amphibious KEEN sandals. I can walk anywhere in the ocean, mountains, or city streets with just one pair of these sandals, and I can match them with casual or sportswear, so they are very useful for trips where I want to reduce the amount of luggage I need.
