It is important to use "sightseeing buses" and "community buses" to get to major sightseeing spots, and use local buses to get to areas that are not served by these buses.

This is the most powerful ticket that allows unlimited rides for one day on the "Castle Town Kanazawa Round Trip Bus," "Kanazawa Flat Bus," and "Route Bus" (within the designated area), which will be introduced later. It is recommended for those who want to do a lot of sightseeing in Kanazawa in one day, those who want to reduce the amount of walking, and those who want to tour freely without a plan.

The ticket can be purchased at Hokuriku Railway Group ticket counters, major hotels in Kanazawa, or anytime via the "Norimasshi Kanazawa" smartphone application.

The basic fare for the city bus is 220 yen (Kanazawa Station to major sightseeing spots), but the adult fare is 800 yen, so if you take the bus four or more times, you can save money. Show the ticket and receive a discount on admission fees to approximately 30 properties in the city, including Kenrokuen Garden, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and Naga-machi Buke Yashiki (Nomura House).

There are two routes. The right-turn route is a red bus that heads toward Higashi Chaya-gai, then to Kenrokuen Garden, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Korinbo, and Oyama Shrine, and runs every 15 minutes. The "Leftward Route" is a green bus that goes in the direction of Buke Yashiki (samurai residences), in the order of Katamachi, Hirokoji (Nishi-chaya-gai), 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kenrokuen, and Higashi Chaya-gai, and departs every 20 minutes. It is important to use the buses in the order of the sightseeing spots you wish to visit. However, those going to Nishi Chaya-gai and Ninja-dera Temple should take the leftward route.

Since credit cards can be used for touch payment and nationwide common transportation system IC cards are available, so feel free to use them. If you are planning to visit multiple tourist spots, it is recommended to purchase a "Kanazawa City One-Day Free Pass" which allows you to get on and off both routes as many times as you like throughout the day.

Community buses that tour the back alleys of the city center

This is a small bus that allows you to "stroll" around Kanazawa, a city with many narrow alleys. They are used by locals as a daily route, and are also popular as "flat" barrier-free vehicles with no steps.

There are four routes: the Konohana Route connecting Kanazawa Station East with Musashigatsuji, Omimachi Market, etc.; the Kikugawa Route connecting Korinbo with Kikugawa and Tatemachi; the Zaimoku Route connecting Musashigatsuji, Omimachi Market, Kanazawa Castle, etc.; and the Nagamachi Route connecting Musashigatsuji, Omimachi Market, Nagamachi Bukeyashiki Ruins, etc, Each route runs approximately every 20 minutes. The routes pass through residential areas and back alleys that are inaccessible by local buses, so they are recommended for those who wish to visit areas not covered by the buses and for those who wish to experience the unique local atmosphere. This is convenient when you want to go to areas that are not covered by the bus or when you want to get to your destination in the shortest time possible. The destination and main stops are indicated on the front and side of the bus, so be sure to check before boarding.

When riding a local bus in Kanazawa City, the "back-ride-and-pay-later" system is generally used. Be sure to take a numbered ticket (one per person) when boarding and put it in the fare box when getting off. The main sections of Kanazawa, including the central part of the city, can be reached with the initial fare, but an additional fare will be charged for outlying areas.

Kanazawa has many spots where you can enjoy illumination, and you can fully enjoy nighttime sightseeing such as strolling in a fantastic atmosphere and taking pictures. Every Saturday night Every Saturday night, a circulating bus runs to the major illuminated spots in Kanazawa City.
