Hirosaki, Aomori, Tsugaru

Hirosaki Castle, the Nebuta Festival, the Sannai-Maruyama Ruins, and other historic sites and traditional culture still remain in this area, and there is no shortage of sightseeing opportunities. There are also many retro buildings, including Western-style buildings from the Meiji and Taisho eras, and cafes and French restaurants that make use of these buildings have become popular spots. Another attraction is the variety of local gourmet foods, such as apple sweets and fresh seafood specialties.
