It is made of beef curry, the signature dish of the affiliated Fujiya Hotel in Miyanoshita, arranged for bread, stuffed, and deep-fried. It has a rich flavor of spices, but is mildly spicy with coconut milk. It is a delicious dish that satisfies both children and adults.

Founded in 1891, this long-established bakery has a history of more than 100 years. A favorite of many tourists is the "hot spring stew bread," a crispy round loaf of French bread filled with hot beef stew. Since the bakery is located along Route 1 on the Hakone Ekiden course, the Hakone Tourist Association asked the bakery to come up with the idea of offering something warm to the cheering crowds, and the idea was born about 20 years ago. Since then, on the day of the annual competition, a limited number of the smaller-than-usual-sized ekiden stalls have been offered free of charge to spectators. It has long been loved as a specialty of Ekiden.

The "Hakone Yama Anpan" series, named after the mountains of Hakone, offers a wide variety, including sesame, coffee, and black tea anpan, making it hard to choose just one. Only the anpan can be packed in a special box for free, making it a great souvenir.

One of the most luxurious sandwiches is the "Natural Fertilized Egg Dashimaki Sandwich. Lightly toasted bread is spread with mustard mayonnaise and a softly seasoned dashimaki egg is sandwiched between two soft and fluffy sandwiches.
The "French toast" soaked for 24 hours in egg mixture before baking is also popular. It goes great with a pot of tea.

It is recommended to eat it while scooping the white sauce, which is filled with large shrimp and scallops, with a piece of bread. The bread used at the restaurant is made by a popular local bakery, Watanabe Bakery. Even the crispy bread is delicious.

Gin Katsu Kobo is a sister restaurant adjacent to Tamura Gin Katsu Tei, famous for its "Tofu Katsu-ni" (tofu cutlet with egg). The glass-walled interior of this café-style restaurant has a bright atmosphere, with counter seats lined up by the window.
In addition to burgers, the menu includes light meals such as "Hakone Sanroku Pork" raised in the famous water at the foot of Mt. Hakone, croquettes made from locally grown yam, and Hakone craft beer. Bread lovers will love the sight of 50 to 60 varieties of bread neatly lined up in the glass cases inside the store. The wide variety of breads is made with more than 10 different types of flours from Japan and abroad. The most popular item is the curry doughnut, which has a whole egg inside and goes great with spicy curry. The surface is covered with rice krispies for a crunchy texture.
