Attack the giant maze that is not a simple task

"Giant Maze Paradium," an outdoor property featuring a massive maze made up of an intricate network of wooden fences, is located right next to Edo Wonderland.The site covers approximately 3,200 tsubo, with the maze alone spanning 1,300 tsubo. It’s a challenging maze that won’t be easy to navigate, but if you reach the finish line within 25 minutes, you’ll receive a juice—so set that as your goal and give it a try.

Rules of the Giant Maze

Here are the rules of the maze.

1. Start by getting your time stamp.
2. Collect stamps at the four checkpoints—“Ki,” “Nu,” “Ga,” and “Wa”—inside the maze.
3. Get your time stamp at the finish line to complete the course.

The rules are very simple, but clearing the maze isn’t as easy as it sounds.There’s a bridge partway through where you can survey the entire maze, so you can plan your next move. If you try to take a shortcut, you might end up getting stuck in a dead end. Encountering the unique “dead end” signs is one of the unique joys of Giant Maze Paradium. On average, it takes 40 to 50 minutes to reach the exit.Finishing in 25 minutes is considered a great achievement, but in the 30 years since the park opened, the all-time record stands at a staggering 8 minutes. Apparently, a family of three—parent and two children—managed to conquer it by attempting the challenge three times in a single day.

Putting golf in addition to the giant maze

Putting golf is attached next to the entrance of the maze, which is good for a little fun, but can also be easily used for waiting for the goal of the maze.
This is an Activity spot that not only stimulates children's spirit of exploration, but also allows adults to return to their childhood memories.

Transform into an Edo person and enjoy Edo culture

It’s a hugely popular spot for everyone from adults to children. Another key attraction is the chance to step back in time to the Edo period and enjoy a realistic experience. Costume rentals are available, so we recommend transforming into an Edo-period resident for the day. The scenery here is just like what you’ve seen in period dramas.
With five distinct Edo-style areas, a theater, a museum, and more, it’s a place where you can easily spend the whole day.

Experience the town of Edo from various angles

There are many places to play inside the buildings, but you will also find various tricks while walking around the Edo town. If you are careless, you may be shown a written arrangement and be roped off by the bureaucrats. If you are asked a question, it is a good idea to answer truthfully. Depending on your answers, you will be charged with different crimes.
You will be released after taking a commemorative photo with the official.

Soba is a popular food here. Until soy sauce became common in the mid-Edo period, soba was typically served with a dipping sauce made from miso. The connoisseur’s way to enjoy seiro soba is with this miso-based dipping sauce.
There are also several Dining Areas, including charcoal-grilled yakitori, traditional Japanese cuisine, and oden. You can bring light snacks aboard the yakatabune boats that cruise around the moat, allowing you to enjoy a meal while taking in the scenic Edo-era streetscape.

Museum of Craftsmanship

In the village, there is a museum called "Edo Seikatsu Bunka Denshokan" which exhibits daily necessities with craftsmanship handed down from the Edo period.
Among the exhibits, "Japanese swords and nail clippers" are the quintessential examples of Edo craftsmanship, including a masterpiece by the 700-year-old Kyoto swordsmith Kikuichimonji, who innovated his skills into nail clippers that are highly regarded even overseas. The gallery also showcases a wide range of Japanese craftsmanship and design, including Edo faceting, brooms, uchiwa fans, bamboo and knob crafts, indigo dyeing, and sparkling fireworks. If you need Wi-Fi, you can connect to FREE Wi-Fi at Shinanoya next to the fire watchtower.
Also, if you get sick, there is a first aid room, and during summer vacation and Golden Week, nurses are always on call. A system for peace of mind is in place.
If you have lost something, you can pick it up if it has been delivered to Echigoya. If not, please inquire at the office in front of the barrier gate (entrance).

Tobu World Square

Exquisitely recreated 1/25-scale models of world landmarks

“Tobu World Square” is a theme park located in Kinugawa Onsen, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. The park, which spans approximately 800 meters, features 102 famous architectural structures—including World Heritage sites—on display outdoors.

The world’s architectural landmarks are intricately recreated at a 1/25 scale, allowing visitors to experience the feeling of traveling around the globe. There are also plenty of ways for photography enthusiasts to enjoy themselves. Since binoculars and “Babycal” strollers are available for rent to help you fully enjoy the park, it’s a great spot for families with children.

Pet baby carriages are also available for those who wish to tour the park with their pets.

Enjoy the world of 1/25th scale

The photo shows the Colosseum, a World Heritage Site in Italy. Although the 1/25-scale models are large enough to be viewed in their entirety from an adult’s height, getting up close to take a photo creates a sense of realism.
The six zones—Modern Japan, America, Asia, Egypt, Europe, and Japan—feature exhibits of 50 UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites listed as of 2026, including the “Statue of Liberty,” the “Sphinx,” the “Eiffel Tower,” and the “Taj Mahal.”

Not only are these World Heritage sites on display, but the park is also home to approximately 140,000 residents—it almost feels as if you can hear them talking.

Just like the real thing? How to take pictures

With 102 architectural structures from 22 countries around the world—including World Heritage Sites—you can enjoy a variety of scenic views.
The photo shows “Taipei 101.” This skyscraper, located in Taipei, Taiwan, stands 508 meters tall. It’s also famous for the New Year’s fireworks launched from the building. If you take a photo while looking up at the sky, it will look just like the real thing. If you post it on Instagram, people might mistake it for a photo from a trip to Taiwan.

There are several small rest areas and Dining Areas throughout the park, and at the Restaurant near the entrance, you can enjoy carefully crafted dishes featuring “yuba,” a specialty of Nikko City.
This is a theme park that everyone can enjoy, whether you’re visiting with family or as a couple.
