This is a foot bath called “Hotaru no Yu,” about a 15-minute drive from Hoshino Resorts KAI Okuhida. In summer, as the name suggests, you can see fireflies, offering a sense of healing you simply can’t experience in the city.
Above all, I highly recommend it because the stars are incredibly beautiful all year round. You can soak your feet in the footbath while gazing at a sky full of stars—it’s one of my favorite hidden gems where you can truly escape the everyday.

This is Perth, where I traveled with my parents and older sister while on a working holiday in Australia. The sunset I saw at Scarborough Beach, with its vast stretch of pure white sand, is an unforgettable sight that still pops into my mind from time to time.

What do you do on your days off?

I love taking it easy, so I often spread out a picnic blanket in the park and soak up the sun. There’s a park nearby that was converted from a former ski resort, and I spend my leisurely time there.

Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?

Here are my picnic blanket and folding chair. They come in handy when I’m enjoying sunsets and scenery while traveling.
