Able Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort

A large slope connected to the neighboring ski resort at the summit, offering a variety of courses to ski.

A ski resort where you can enjoy winter sports from late December to late March. It features three unique slopes: the "Toomi Slope," the "Iimori Slope," and "Alps-daira." Furthermore, it is connected at the summit to the adjacent "Hakuba47 Winter Sports Park," allowing you to travel between them with a common lift pass. Its scale is the best in Hakuba, with 24 courses and 14 lifts. It also has well-equipped specialized areas such as racing courses and mogul courses, allowing skiers of all levels, from beginners to experts, to enjoy their time on the slopes.

A well-equipped base center where you can also enjoy hot springs, making it comfortable for families.

Another appeal is that during peak season, you can ski to your heart's content with early morning and night skiing options. The facility is also highly convenient, with the parking lot just a 1-2 minute walk from the entrance gate. The base center, "Escal Plaza," is fully equipped with everything you need, including restaurants, souvenir shops, sports equipment stores, rental shops, hot springs, and nap facilities.
Additionally, right next to Escal Plaza, there is a kids-only area that provides free snow play equipment. There is also an indoor kids-only area, so families with small children can play with peace of mind.

Hakuba Happo-one Snow Resort

A mecca for skiers that boasts an overwhelming scale.

As a central presence within the Hakuba area, this ski resort has fans all over the world. It features 16 diverse courses, including the "Panorama Course" with views stretching all the way to the Southern Alps and thrilling tree runs. Among them, the 3,000m-long "Riesen Slalom Course," which you can ski non-stop, offers an exhilarating experience.
While the name of an Olympic venue might sound intimidating, areas like the "Sakka Slope" at the northern base have many gentle slopes that are perfect for beginners. There is also a kids' park equipped with a snow escalator, allowing small children to play with peace of mind.

Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field

A spectacular slope with a 360-degree panoramic view of the Northern Alps.

Hakuba Iwatake is the only independent peak in Hakuba Village, serving as a mountain resort with a 360-degree panoramic view. It offers 26 courses, the most in the area, which skillfully utilize the mountain's terrain. There are also seven powder courses where you can enjoy a tree-run feel, allowing even powder beginners to enjoy dynamic skiing as if being sprayed with fresh snow.
Furthermore, it has introduced "HAKUBA S-CLASS," the first VIP service of its kind in Japan. This includes access to two exclusive lounges on the slopes, priority boarding for gondolas and specific lifts, shuttle service to accommodations, and high-end ski rentals (for an additional fee). It is perfect for a sophisticated winter vacation.

Satisfy both your hunger and your heart at a cafe & terrace with a superb view

For a place to rest when you are tired from skiing, we recommend "HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR," a spectacular cafe and terrace with a panoramic view of the Northern Alps. At the attached "THE CITY BAKERY," a popular bakery from New York, you can enjoy original food made with local ingredients, as well as croissant sandwiches, muffins, scones, and soup. The "Hakuba Pork Croissant Sandwich" and the "Hot Chocolate" topped with marshmallows are particularly exquisite. The grand panorama of the three mountains of Hakuba and a delicious meal are sure to blow your fatigue away.

Jiigatake Snow Resort

Perfect for your first time on the slopes. Enjoy an exhilarating run on a wide, open slope

Located about 4km north of Omachi Onsen-kyo, this is the southernmost ski resort in the Hakuba area. None of the 7 courses on the slopes have steep inclines, making them suitable for beginners to intermediates. The main slope, in particular, is a wide, single-sheet burn, making it perfect for your first time on the slopes.
Furthermore, with a base elevation of 940m and a summit of 1,200m, the snow volume and quality are excellent. Especially during the peak season, you can enjoy the powder snow unique to the Hakuba area, so it won't hurt if you fall, making it recommended for beginners. The upper part is a quiet forest course where you can also overlook the scenery of Azumino in the distance.

There is also a "Troika" lift for the kids' slope, making it easy for children to get around

The "Kids' Slope" features a box-type lift called the "Troika," allowing small children who cannot ride regular lifts to move around easily. In addition, there are plenty of ski and snowboard lessons for children, which are well-received for helping even first-timers improve rapidly.
After skiing, we also recommend visiting the nearby Omachi Onsen-kyo. There are many day-trip hot springs where you can slowly soothe your post-ski fatigue.

HAKUBA VALLEY Kashimayari Snow Resort Family Park

Great access from the Azumino IC. Enjoy long runs and tree runs

This is the closest ski resort to the Azumino IC in the Hakuba area. Located in an outstanding location overlooking the 2,890m-high Mt. Kashimayari, the resort features 15 courses that take advantage of the mountain's terrain, including the "Ippon-buna Downhill Course" where you can ski 2,000m at once, the 3,000m "Nakatsuna Super Forest Road Course" for beginners, and the scenic "Course 5-A." Among them, the "Tree Run Powder Course" that runs through the forest of "North Mt." has gentle slopes, allowing even tree-run beginners to enjoy a different experience from the regular slopes.

After skiing, relax with a panoramic bath and gourmet food

Another appeal is the abundance of facilities for enjoying après-ski, such as hot spring baths with superb views and stone-oven pizza restaurants. In particular, the "Highland Spa" hot spring located within the accommodation facility in the middle of the central slope is perfect for après-ski as it is also open for day-trip bathing. It features an open-air bath where you can soothe your fatigue while overlooking the Northern Alps on clear days (please check the website for operating days).
After bathing, head to the restaurants and food court inside "Central Plaza 1130." There is a wide variety of gourmet food to satisfy your hunger, from pork miso soup and ramen made with Shinshu miso to gelato made with Jersey milk.
