Local Supporter FAQ

What are your recommendations for the Atami area (places, experiences, gourmet food)?

Hatsushima, a 25-minute boat ride from Atami, is a place where only those who stayed in Atami the night before can spend a relaxing time. While the bustling summer atmosphere is fun, the uncrowded island in winter is perfect for photography.

Please secretly tell us some hidden gems that only a local would know.

Oratche Kingdom is a small farm in Kannami, right next to Atami. Admission is free, and there is a gift shop selling sweets made with local specialties and products related to Tanna Milk, making it a great place for a quick stop. The Tanna Milk soft-serve ice cream is exquisite, and you can also choose to have it as a float.

Who did you travel with and where did you go last year?

I love traveling and went to many places last year, but the most moving experience was the Big Island of Hawaii. The starry sky seen from Mauna Kea and the sunrise rising from the sea of clouds were more beautiful than any sky I have ever seen.

Bag
How do you spend your days off?

I travel around local tourist spots with my camera. I often stop by hot springs, so I always keep a towel and bath set in my car.

Coffee
Is there anything you always bring with you when you travel?

I bring my camera and laptop. I use a DSLR and a GoPro, switching between them depending on the situation, such as for videos, close-ups, underwater shots, action shots, or low-light photography.
