I love exploring cafes and traveling
A Nagoya native who loves exploring cafes and traveling. Her days off are always packed, so she’s hardly ever at home. While she leads an active lifestyle, her part-time job experience from her student days has given her a special talent for making delicious, fluffy omurice.

Local Guide FAQ
- What are your recommendations for the Okuhida area?
It’s a restaurant called “Rokuji.” In a calm, traditional Japanese house-style atmosphere, you can enjoy local specialties like pickled vegetable steak and “Keichan.”
The “Today’s Special” is always a hit—you’ll be satisfied no matter what you order. My top recommendation is the smoked cheese potato salad; it’s a dish I order every single time. If you visit Okuhida, be sure to stop by.
- Since you live there, please share some hidden gems in the area that only locals know about.
“AWAWA HIRAYU” offers a stylish atmosphere where you can enjoy a special moment even while in Okuhida. Not only are the pizzas made with local ingredients delicious, but the gelato served after your meal is also exquisite—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. I’m secretly aiming to try every single pizza on the menu!
- Tell us about a memorable trip—who you went with and where you went.
This was a trip to Fukuoka with my college friends. I still vividly remember early spring, when it was still a bit chilly, and we rented bikes and rode around Itoshima for about three hours. The strawberry milk I drank at a café after our bike ride was exceptional, and that moment has become a cherished memory.
- What do you do on your days off?
On my days off, I enjoy hopping from café to café in Takayama in search of my favorite sweets. In particular, at “Ru·Shieru,” which I visited recently, I discovered a rich pistachio cheesecake—I plan to become a regular there.
- Is there anything you always take with you on a trip?
I always make sure to bring a charger for my camera—since I take so many photos—and a “places I want to visit” list I’ve put together myself. It’s important to me to carry it with me so I can refer to it at any time and avoid regretting, “I really wanted to go there…!”
