Yamanashi Fuefukigawa Fruit Park

A fruit-themed park that is also very popular with pet owners

A fruit-themed park symbolized by its hemispherical glass domes. The grounds include restaurants, hot springs, and athletic facilities, making it popular with families. Pets are allowed in outdoor areas as long as they are on a leash. Take a walk with your dog through the park, which has a fun atmosphere with rows of glass domes and a road train.
There are also two dog runs (one for small dogs and one for medium-sized dogs and under, categorized by breed), which can be used for free during business hours by registering via the Wan!pass app. It is also a nice touch that there are obstacles like hurdles and water fountains for dogs.

Head to a restaurant with a superb view and a full pet menu

The "Tenbo/Hoshikuzu Restaurant Gaia" located in the park is popular for its dishes using local ingredients such as Koshu Wine Beef. There are terrace seats where you can dine with your dog, and they also offer special pet menus such as a "Special Wan Plate" featuring Shingen chicken and bone-shaped cookies, as well as "Special Handmade Jerky". You can enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji during the day and the night view of the Kofu Basin at night.
In addition, the outdoor terrace of "Fruit Cafe Hachinka Plus," where you can enjoy parfaits made with seasonal fruits, is also pet-friendly.

Yamanashi Prefectural Makiba Park

Take a walk with your dog in the peaceful atmosphere of a ranch

With Mt. Fuji and the Yatsugatake Mountains in the background, vast pastures spread out where you can encounter goats, sheep, cows, and ponies grazing on the grass. While pets are not allowed in the areas where animals are kept, you can walk them on the promenade that circles the grounds as long as they are on a leash. Horses and goats may come up to the side of the promenade, so enjoy the idyllic atmosphere typical of a ranch. The rest area with a gazebo is also pet-friendly. It is also recommended to have a picnic here while taking in the magnificent scenery.

Seisenryo

Enjoy the nature of Kiyosato by walking with your dog on the forest trails

A tourist facility boasting over 80 years of history. The vast grounds include a church, a hotel, and a variety of facilities such as shops, restaurants, a ranch, and a museum, with promenades stretching through forests and pastures. Take your dog for a walk on a leash and enjoy nature together while looking for nuts and pinecones or listening to the songs of wild birds. In the forest, there is also an outdoor chapel site with an altar featuring a white cross and rows of wooden chairs, creating a solemn atmosphere. You can feel the history of Seisenryo, which was originally established as a facility for Christians.
In addition, the terrace seats at the cafe restaurant "Seisenryo Farm Shop" are pet-friendly. You can enjoy dishes such as doria made with organic Jersey milk and Jersey butter, curry containing over 10 types of vegetables, and sweets including rich soft-serve ice cream.

Moegi no Mura

A vast natural garden dotted with cafes and shops

A tourist spot that brings together about 25 facilities, including a natural garden where colorful flowers bloom in profusion, restaurants, cafes, museums, and shops. The lush green park is perfect for spending time with your pet. There are spots scattered throughout that are sure to pique your dog's interest, such as paths with stone walls and plazas covered in wood chips. The rule in the park is to keep your dog on a leash, and there are dog parking areas where you can tether your leash in each section. Many of the facilities allow dogs inside, and it is well-regarded as a place where you can spend a relaxing time with your beloved pet.

Enjoy meals and tea with your beloved dog

Another feature of the park is the many restaurants and cafes where you can relax with your pet. At the cafe "Carol," known for its handmade cakes, and the restaurant "ROCK," famous for its beef curry, you can bring your dog to the terrace seating. At "ROCK," you can enjoy freshly brewed craft beer from the attached brewery. Also, "Ellen," which handles interior and fashion accessories, has a wide selection of pet items. You can order custom-made original leashes and harnesses using European-made ribbons, which are recommended as a souvenir of your trip with your beloved dog.
