Built on rocky terrain jutting out into the sea, the restaurant offers a panoramic view of the magnificent ocean from its windows. The interior features spacious tatami seating, allowing families with children to enjoy their meal in comfort.
We recommend the "Sashimi Set Meal," which is packed with the bounty of the sea. With sashimi including crab, scallops, and shrimp, as well as raw oysters and sea squirt, you will have trouble deciding what to eat first. The "Raw Sea Urchin Bowl" is also a signature dish. Both are available for a limited time from May 15th to the end of August each year, but there is also a wide variety of year-round menu items such as "Seafood Bowl" and "Grilled Fish Set Meal." For children, the "Iso Ramen (salt-based)" and "Hama Ramen (soy sauce-based)" are popular.

Next, head to a spot unique to Misawa City, the "Town of the Open Sky," which boasts one of the nation's leading aviation facilities. With a theme of the sky and flight, it is full of exhibits and experiences that will excite children. The exhibits are divided into three zones: Aviation, Science, and Space. The Aviation Zone displays aircraft associated with Aomori Prefecture, while the Science Zone allows you to learn how things fly through hands-on exhibits. Don't miss the Space Zone, which features a life-size model of the asteroid explorer "Hayabusa2".
While some experiences have height or weight restrictions, many are suitable for small children, so people of all ages can enjoy them. The "Science Experiment Workshop," which hosts science shows and workshops, is also popular. There is a nursing room in the free "Children's Square" near the entrance, so you can feel at ease even if you are with a baby.

Once your body is warmed up from breakfast, head out for activities or sightseeing.

Experience Aomori's horse-culture with seasonal horse-drawn carriage rides.

The southern region of Aomori Prefecture has long been a famous horse-breeding area. You can experience the culture of cherishing horses by taking a horse-drawn carriage tour of the park. The carriages change their style with the seasons, such as the "Spring Kotatsu Carriage" in spring and the "Stove Carriage" in winter. Interacting with the horses is also a great joy for children.

12:00 Unbreakable

Get lunch to go at a popular coffee stand.

Grab a takeout lunch before sightseeing in Towada. "Unbreakable" is a coffee stand with a reputation for delicious coffee and a diverse food menu. The coffee is made using beans roasted in-house by "iro coffee" in Hirosaki City and extracted using a unique method. This coffee, rich in aroma and flavor, is a blissful cup.
The food, themed around "dishes that go well with coffee," includes a wide range of genres such as bread kneaded and baked by hand every morning, fried chicken, gapao rice, and pizza.

12:40 Towada City Horse Riding Park Komakko Land

Eat, play, learn, and meet cute horses.

With our takeout lunch in hand, we headed to a complex unique to the Nanbu region, a famous horse-breeding area. There are plenty of sights and activities to enjoy, including the "Komakko Ranch" where you can experience horseback riding and feeding, the "Shotokukan" horse culture museum, plazas, and playground equipment.
First, we took a lunch break on the lawn plaza. Once satisfied, let's play on the playground equipment, such as the roller slide (for ages 6-12). The 8.7-meter-tall horse-shaped slide "U.m.a" is the symbol of Komakko Land and is popular as a photo spot. When you get tired of playing, take a break at the "Koryukan," where you can rest and eat. There are diaper-changing and nursing spaces in the restrooms inside the building, so you can play without worry even with infants and toddlers.

14:30 Towada Art Center

Art experiences that nurture children's sensibilities.

Towada City is engaged in urban development through art, and this museum is its central spot. The permanent works were created specifically for the museum, featuring numerous pieces by domestic and international artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Yoshitomo Nara, and Ron Mueck. Imaginative works appear one after another, filling children with curiosity. Adults should hold hands with small children while viewing the exhibits.
If you feel it might be difficult to view the indoor exhibits with infants or toddlers, head to the Art Square around the museum. Starting with Yayoi Kusama's works, which feature a polka-dot world of pumpkins and girls, you will also find plump houses and cars, and even a giant pure white ghost. You can also encounter street furniture along the Government Office Street and shopping streets that you pass by.

17:00 Public Bath

Refresh your body, tired from playing in the hot springs.

After playing to your heart's content, take an early bath to wash away the sweat and feel refreshed. Soaking in hot spring water, which is said to be good for muscle pain, joint pain, and fatigue recovery, will soothe your tired body. If the children wake up early the next day, a refreshing morning bath is also recommended.

"Michinoku Matsuriya," where you can enjoy a show that expresses the four seasons of Aomori and the excitement of its festivals, is the highlight of the inn. Every night, they hold a show featuring the musical accompaniment of Aomori's four major festivals, including the Aomori Nebuta Festival. With a sense of realism like an actual festival, both children and adults will find themselves tapping along to the rhythm and feeling their hearts leap.

Day 3

The "Umeja-don," where you top rice with seasonal seafood, is a popular menu item you can't miss at breakfast. You can create your own seafood bowl by freely topping it with your favorite ingredients like scallops, negitoro (minced tuna with green onions), and squid. It would be fun to line up your bowls as a family to see whose Umeja-don looks the most delicious.

Take a walk in the park and say goodbye to the horses and ponies.

In the clear morning air, head to the park before leaving the inn. The children will say a reluctant "see you later" at the "Fureai Farm" and "Pony House." The shop in the Jawamegu Plaza also sells pony-themed souvenirs, so why not pick one up as a memento of your trip?

End your trip at a massive market where Aomori's delicacies gather. About 70 shops line the market, offering seafood landed at Hachinohe Port, freshly picked vegetables and fruits, dried goods, sweets, and more.

First, have lunch at "Shichirin-mura," where you can enjoy charcoal-grilled ingredients purchased on-site. You can savor seasonal seafood such as scallops, shrimp, squid, and oysters, as well as meat, grilled to your preference. It is efficient to pay the usage fee at the reception before purchasing ingredients inside the market. There are even fish you don't usually see, which will keep children full of curiosity. When shopping, tell them you plan to grill the items at Shichirin-mura, and they will cut them for you to make them easier to grill.

After enjoying the seafood, take a stroll around the market to choose souvenirs. You can also arrange for shipping from the market, so you don't have to worry about buying too much.
